My wife and I really enjoyed this hotel. The continental-plus breakfast and teatime treats exceeded expectations, though neither would be what you would call 'filling'. Rooms are a bit quirky as you might expect from a historic inn. But very clean, and staffed by uncommonly friendly and helpful people. Definitely worth the price.

Great location, friendly and helpful staff, beautiful hotel. BUT, I stayed in rooms on the 8th St side of the building (Rooms 202 and 302) and the rumblings from the trains underneath were unbelievable - the bed shook, the furniture and fitting rattled.... Beautiful building, great restaurant, delightful staff. The room was tastefully decorated with a comfortable bed and a surprisingly adequate bathroom. (Typically hard to find in in these historic buildings). "M" restaurant was just right..."Lora Dee" is spot on with bar service. Food is tasty. Very convenient for hotel guests.
