Just returned from 4 nights at Cottage on the Cove. It's a great central spot to explore Whidbey Island and Coupeville (and it's a 30minute ferry ride to Port Townsend/Olympic Peninsula, which is worth the trip). The Cottage is perfect for one or two people - not sure if the sleeping arrangements (a ladder to a loft) would work well...

I'd definitely stay at the Cottage on the Cove again if I was travelling solo but the seniors I was travelling with in July found the quarters cramped, cold, and uncomfortable. Nevertheless, we did turn on the propane fireplace which dispelled the chill off the water and we had a good laugh at how you couldn't avoid nudging the door...

I stayed at the cottage on the cove a little while ago. The cottage is a nice size for two people coming to relax and explore the island.
