We have just returned from a stay at this Hotel and could not fault it apart from the expensive drinks at the bar. We had a deal through Secret Escapes and the rooms and ambiance were really well presented although no real view but what do you expect in a very large city. The room we had was a great... More

Very convenient for theater district, shopping and other attractions. Facility and rooms were clean and spacious, but I would not recommend interior room due to lack of outside light. Lobby restaurant serves a nice selection of breakfast items and fresh coffee and pastries are served on the lower level each morning. Staff was very courteous and helpful. Also attended a... More

We have stayed five times at the Michelangelo and would never consider another hotel. The Michelangelo's perfect location, excellent staff, and large luxurious rooms keep us coming back time and time again. It has the perfect contrast between the hyper stimulation of the City and the relaxed, elegant, peaceful feel of the hotel. Wonderful place to come back to after... More

This hotel had no view what so ever, you just see wall from your windows. room was small. furnitures in the room was classy or more like outdated? i am not sure what to call it. the lobby area have same theme, classic . recommended for people who are not looking for typical modern room/hotel. location was ok.

We stayed in this hotel in 2007 and had a great experience which we shared on TripAdvisor. However, our recent stay was totally the opposite. We received an email with a special promotional rate. Unfortunately, the rate was only good for two of the four nights and the other two nights were significantly more. But, we decided to stay at... More

Lovely boutique hotel right in the hub of the action but far enough away from the noise of Times Square. When you're in New York City, especially Times Square, you spend most of your time outside the hotel, but what was lovely about the Michelangelo is that once you enter, you feel like you have entered a different world and... My husband and I have stayed at the Michaelangelo many times and loved it. We returned this weekend and were very disappointed. Although they upgraded us to a suite, the rooms were dated. Draperies appeared dull and carpet could have used a nice cleaning. In all felt it was ok, but not great and worth the price. If you want... More

A really wonderful stay at a luxury boutique hotel in a super location very near Times Square and all the theatres (in fact, Wicked, is just a block down the street). We arrived early to check-in, and had no problem getting our room - and an upgrade. The rooms are large by NYC standards, with quality furnishings and linens, and... More

I have been visiting NY since 1980. I've stayed at numerous hotels. I am convinced that the Michelangelo is the best kept secret in NY. I just returned from a 4 day visit during which my best friend and I stayed at the Michelangelo. My junior suite was immaculate, spacious and beautiful. The staff were wonderful and so helpful. Three... More

We moved to the Michelangelo after a bad experience at the Benjamin. The staff from the reservations agent to front desk to bellman were excellent and friendly. They were able to get us into our room early after our move from the Benjamin so we could prepare for the wedding we were attending. The room was spacious and nicely furnished.... More
