4 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 May 2013 NEW

This is a different type of hotel. It is small and has the feeling of "Old New York City". The rooms are decorated in the 1920's but everything is brand new. The bedroom was pretty, clean and nicely decorated but on the smaller side. It had a very comfortable bed and nice amenities. The lobby bar is very happening in... More

I've enjoyed all my stays at The Bowery. It's tastefully done, very sophisticated but not overly stuffy. I like staying downtown and like the location. Easy spot to get taxi if going uptown. A winner but expensive.

Since my daughter recently moved from the upper to the lower east side of NYC, on my annual spring visit I wanted to stay in a hotel close by....was I lucky that I picked the Bowery Hotel. This charming boutique hotel is exceptional in service, decor and food. The location is perfect to walk to shopping and numerous bars and... More

The Bowery Hotel is a charming, warm "old world feel" hotel with modern comfort. The rooms are tastefully appointed and quite spacious by NYC standards . Although the lobby is dark and cosy, the rooms are remarkably bright. The beds are very comfortable with luxurious linens. The bathroom shower has an amazing rainhead and shower. We stayed in one of the... More

If you like the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles, this is the hotel for you. I think the same people own it. I stayed here in Nov. while visiting my son in college. We hung out in the bar/lobby almost every night and his friends would come by and visit. So, yes, it can get loud and people do smoke... More

The Bowery Hotel location is convenient to NYU and Greenwich Village. There are many new restaurants in this gentrifying area. The front desk, porters and housekeeping staff are very attentive. Reclaimed furniture/rugs dark paint, small elevators give the hotel an aged-ambiance which was appealing to some in our group, others found it to be tired looking even though the Bowery was... More

Just might be my new favorite hotel in New York! I stayed 3 nights at the Bowery in March 2013 and 4 nights in January 2013 and had a great time there on both visits. ROOMS: I had a Bowery Suite both trips. The suites are L shaped, so the sleeping area is distinct from the work area even though... More

Stayed 4 nights at the Bowery. Great location - just across the street of the outstanding Great Jones Cafe' and close to all the SoHo shopping. Even if a bit pricey its good value for money. It has a laid back atmosphere but service is outstanding.

Stayed there for 3 nights last summer and loved it! Very elegant and nice atmosphere, clean room, nice staff and great location! They make good cocktails at the bar so def check that out! We wanted to go to the legendary jazz club - the Blue Note and we were so lucky 'cause the Bowery was just 5 min away... More

As pretentious as New York hotels can be, the Bowery is one of the few 5 star hotels that feels like a country Inn in the middle of the Village. The staff gets an A+ for friendliness without seeming overbearing and the lounge feels like a Vermont country Inn. Impeccable views from every room, the most comfortable beds and linnens... More
