Me and my partner stayed here for 6 nights in May 2013 and we were both very disappointed. Firstly, every morning we was woken up by the cleaners. On the first night I hug up the 'Do not disturb sign', which was then lost. Even on the check out day we was woken up, why would you come to clean... More

I wish I had read TripAdvisor as I feel very foolish booking this hotel. It is terrible. My room had bare wires coming out of a wall socket, dirt everywhere, stained carpets, stained towels and the worst standard of decor I have seen outside the old soviet union. I went down to complain and asked for the manager - the... More

Not the smartest hotel but we enjoyed our stay there, would deffo use hotel again, walking distance to time square penn station etc I'd say that's a winner wouldn't you? We got married whilst in new york and the hotel staff treated us very well, room was clean with lovely view of empire state building! Macys is one block away... More

Stayed one night and not expecting much but I could have excused the shabby decor if the reception staff had been anything other than offhand and completely disinterested - not a good start. We could hardly get our shower hot and once we had finished showering we had to call maintenance to be able to turn it off - the... More

My Sister and I stayed at the Hotel Pennsylvania between 30/04/13 and 05/05/13 on our recent trip to New York. Usually, I would not take the time to complain, however, I am completely appalled and offended by the condition of this hotel. From the offset, our initial impression of the hotel was ok but started to go down hill rapidly... More

The only $$$ that has been spent on this hotel, went into the lobby area. Every other floor in the place was horrible. They need to gut the building and do a major rehab ! Oh, and they should have a big bon fire and burn the furniture, especially the creaky, uncomfortable beds and the clunky old TV's. The bedroom... More

Rust, peeling paint, rapidly dripping taps, electrical sockets hanging out of the wall, Housekeeping staff tried valiantly to keep the place habitable but the maintenance of rooms is non existent. Plentiful hot water flows from the taps, but almost impossible to turn off flow. A run down, lower third world standard, hotel: and by staying here you contribute to providing... More

This is just a horrible hotel. It's falling apart. The bathrooms are disgusting. I had one night without any air-conditioning. They said it was not working anywhere in the hotel. The last straw are the rats running around my room this evening. I complained to the front desk about the rats running around on the carpet in my room and... More

The room for breakfast was too small, not enough chairs and tables. A lot of plastic cups, knifes, plates -> care for the enviroment? Someone of the care team has removed a bag from our luggage!!!!!!!

I was given what was considered one of the "best rooms". It needed painting, new furniture, new carpeting--and had no heat on a cold day . It was basically disgusting. It also took a long time to check in. The room looked like my old college furniture that I gave away decades ago --and it suddenly reappeared again! They are... More
