We stayed at the Ace Hotel NYC over the first weekend in February 2012, visiting from the UK. We got a last minute rate and so splashed out (!) on a Medium room. On arrival, the check in process was quick and we were soon in the room. This was relatively spacious (very in a NY context?) with a desk... More

Get ready for a packed, loud, groover lounge upon arrival of this steampunk type hotel. Rooms are a bit on the small size but so what else is new in New York City. I had a "small" room that was just that...small. Bed was very comfortable. The television media was very interesting. They have their own sort of network. Easy... More

2nd time at this little gem. Location great, decor fab, customer service needs a little attention but not enough to put me off. More

This hotel is a destination onto itself, easily earning its reputation as a premier hipster hotel. This creates an atmosphere probably unlike most other places you've ever stayed - it's loud, it's busy, it's pretty, it's funky, and it's self absorbed. Some people will want to try this. I certainly did and mostly liked the experience. The minibar is itself... More

As a former New Yorker, I'm particular about my hotel location. And as a former New Yorker, I have to say, this is in an excellent spot. Central enough that it's convenient for the theater crowd and for downtown excursions. The hotel itself has a fun hipster vibe. The room was comfortable in size and decor (as was the bed).... More

The Ace is in a category of its own. It's funk, it's easy-going, laid back but happening, luxury where it matters but fun where it's possible. Who ever dreamt of putting a restored vintage Polaroid camera in the room, with a packet ready to use? Or your own turntable and a sweet little selection of vinyl? It's hard to compare... More

We spent Christmas weekend at the Ace Hotel, snagging a great deal off TravelZoo. The reviews were positive and the location looked great, everything lived up to my expectations. First of all, if you are like me and enjoy being able to get around by foot, the Ace is great. Your less than a 10-minute walk to Penn Station. We... More

My younger, hipper friend chose this hotel, and while I thought the location was great, I was concerned that I wouldn't fit in at all - being a little bit "older". Boy was I wrong. I never once felt out of place, overlooked, or looked down upon - as can sometimes happen in "trendy" places. I really enjoyed this stay,... More

So I'm a business traveler who tucks in his t-shirts and wears his Blackberry on a hip holster. I am not cool. Well, I'm super cool, but not hip. So I was wary of my visit here. Sure enough, my room had a record player and the mini-bar was hidden in a storage case that roadies use for bands. I... More

Hi Graham, Thanks so much for taking the time to write a review about your experience here at Ace. We're happy to hear you enjoyed the coffee, the service, and your overall stay. Blackberries and Apples are all welcome here just the same. We'd love to be your home away from home whenever you return to NYC, and look forward... More

This hotel drips hip. From the charcoal soap in each bathroom to its smartly dressed staff, the Ace is hands down the coolest hotel in Manhattan. I was extremely disappointed by the location - greasy Midtown South always leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Location aside, the amenities and service of the hotel itself are fabulous, and I highly...
