I found this hotel after extensive searching. If you want to really feel like you're in San Diego, then stay here. All the other "big box" hotels were not near the water. This one was right down in the bay and had beautifully maintained grounds, fantastic pool and great staff

Hotel rooms were comfortable and clean. Staff was friendly. Pool area was small but very relaxing and pretty quiet, even in the weekends. Shelter Island however, is a little off the beaten path from the big spots in San Diego. Would not have been able to stay here without a car...

This was a real treat! Hotel had a tropical feel and the grounds were beautiful! View from hotel of the San Diego skyline is amazing! Hotel grounds are stunning! We were there for our anniversary and got an upgrade to a suite which really made our stay! Definitely recommend this hotel !

It's comfortable room facing a yacht harbor, and nice view. This hotel is well cared for although it is somewhat old. Service quality was not so excelent. I felt it convinient,there are some restaurant and super markets arround hotel.

A little taste of Hawaii in San Diego! Clean well kept room, relaxing atmosphere, plenty of enjoyable spots throughout the property to sit and enjoy the views of the marina and harbor. Professional staff all around. Good location & easy walking distance to the little town. The complimentary bicycles (you have to ask) were a treat!
