This is definitely one of the best hostels I have stayed at. Clean and tidy with friendly staff and amazing breakfasts- they had an assortment of bread and fruit. Great kitchen facilities which was well stocked. Right in the centre of town. Would highly recommend

I stayed at Hostelling International San Diego Downtown in January, 2013. It was my best choice, surely! It's a excelent hostel, very clean and organized and with fair rates. The staff are very friendly and helped me a lot! It is in a good area of the city, with many bars, clubs, shopping mall and markets nearby. I recommend!

Exactly what you are looking for in a hostel. Super nice staff willing to help with their local knowledge. Things were clean and much better than I expected. They run a tight ship without being uncool about it. The no booze rule is little weird....
