We stayed here for two nights and the Keating House was lovely. When we arrived a bit early one of the owners sat down with us and a map of the city and gave us tons of suggestions for entertainment while we were there. Breakfast was also quite good both mornings. We wanted to extend our stay but they were... More

The wife and I stayed at Keating House for a few days during March 2013. Compared to the "el cheapo"-motels we usually choose, this was like getting home. This place is cosy, very personal and has an interesting history dating back to the early days of San Diego. The house is situated in a quiet and safe neighborhood close to... More

Just got back from San Diego where we stayed at the Keating House for six days. Our hosts Ben and Doug were great. They welcomed us to their establishment on our day of arrival and Ben proceeded to tell us where to go for sights, dinner and such. Although we had been to San Diego before, we had not been... More

This is a wonderful bed and breakfast. The hosts, Ben and Doug, know how to treat guests. Upon arriving, Ben gave us a thorough tour, via map spread on the dining room table, of the highlights of San Diego. Since we were going to be tourists for a week, the overview was greatly appreciated. Each morning we shared breakfast with... More

This B&B is really terrific. Beautiful, spacious rooms in a wonderfully appointed 19th century Victorian/Queen Anne house in a great section of the city. The owners are so kind and charming, and the breakfasts are absolutely amazing. We wanted to photograph them before eating them, they were so beautiful.

Keating House really does a fine job assuring the B&B experience is delivered to guests. After a warm welcome by proprietors Doug and Ben, I was given a tour of the facility and given a quick description of the quirks of the old house, a charming Victorian in immaculate condition in the very convenient Park West neighborhood. I stayed in... More

Our 8 night stay in November 2012 at Keating House combining business and vacation was perfection! We stayed in the Garden Suite (separate from the main house) which included a living room and kitchenette. For a several night stay, the roominess was a treat! Such a cozy little suite with everything we could have needed and so charming. The walkway through... More

How did I forget to write this review? We stayed at Keating House in September, perhaps the fourth time. We return because it is conveniently located in a residential neighborhood. Bankers Hill is filled with art deco homes making local walks a pleasure. The house is close to Balboa Park (great walking and wonderful small museums, especially the Mingei), Little... More

I was spending a night in San Diego on the way back from a vacation, in order to attend a show at The Old Globe in Balboa Park. True to its billing, Keating House Inn is an easy walk to the park (although not quite as easy in high heels). Doug and Ben were excellent hosts. Ben spent a significant... More

We were able to snag a two day stay at Keating House due to a last minute cancellation. What luck! After reading reviews on TripAdvisor, I was enchanted, but figured they would be full due to it being a weekend. We were walking distance to everything, including the Old Globe Theatre in Balboa Park that we had tickets to a... More
