Others have commented on the dated looks and sparse accommodations. They are correct. While they have a great location to some great shopping and mass transit you cannot find the entrance without help. Checking rates I could have stayed at the "Park" Plaza, you know, where John Kennedy proposed to Jackie, where Malcolm X work and where the real Boston... More

I was plesantly surprised ! My relatives were booked at the copley and when checking rates decided to look for a "more reasonable" rate and hotel. the hotel is in copley square one block from copley place- walking distance to downtown faniel hall beacon holl etc. When I got to the entry it was a bit of aa shock- like... If I could give this place less than one star I totally would!! This hotel was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in!! The front desk ladies were all rude except for the one who checked us out of the hotel. The room was filthy!! I was afraid I was going to catch a disease. The bathroom was the... More

Booked this in a hurry, it was close to where we had to be, and was the least expensive room I could find. The room was nice, the bath was clean but old. As the title states, it's what one would expect for inexpensive accommodations in an old building.

As noted, the location is great, not scenic, unless you are a fan of parking garages, but near to really expensive places and good enough if you are not planning on doing anything but sleeping there. It is an older facility and it looks like they just took this on as the guest guide refers to the place as the... More

The only two positive topics are: location (near the center); and this is the reason because I gave 2/5 to this hotel. I was in this hotel 1 year and a half ago. Unlucky, from my part all the other is fully negative: the hotel is not a hotel (there is neither an indication for it), it's difficult to find... More

We stayed here for 3 nights in May 2013. The best thing about this hotel is the location. Close to Copley Square and Back Bay tube and train stations. If you are just here to sleep then this should be fine for you as I found the rooms quiet (on the 6th floor) and had a good nights sleep each... More

Stayed here in mid-May with my girlfriend for 3 nights. The hotel is in a great location, just a few minutes walk from Back Bay station and close to Copley subway station. The first impression I got when I entered the hotel was how dated it looked. The staff were not very friendly and gave no information about the area.... More

If you are visiting Boston as a tourist you shouldn't spend much time in your hotel anyway, this is a basic hotel, in need of freshening up, but it is clean, quiet and in a nice area. A good variety of TV channels, a cheap booked cab to Logan ($17), free internet downstairs and patchy free Wifi (had to go... More

The Good - location, location, location. Close to everything downtown. The staff, very pleasant and helpful. The Bad Breakfast - an absolute disgrace. They hold be ashamed of it. The rooms, tired, grubby and worn. Thin walls. Banging doors, very noisy -take earplugs Bathroom, poor water pressure, poorly designed, almost impossible to shut the door unless you are actually standing... More
