This was our second stay at Bandy Creek Campground. We were camping with our teardrop trailer. Park is patrolled regularly. Very clean. Sites are among tall mature trees. Bathhouses are clean and many available. We camped with five other couples and everyone enjoyed there stay.

These campgrounds consist of Different Loops to park your rig. The sizes of the campsites come in various sizes. They are paved, have water and electric. The bathhouses are so clean and have great water pressure. The roads are paved as well....there is a pool but I don't think it opens until later in May. The stables is about 1... More

I have been coming to the Big South Fork area and Bandy Creek since the early 90's. The campground has not shown it's age at all. They maintain it beautifully. Lots of hot water in very spacious bathhouses and showers. Paved roadways. Playground and pool. Well planned. Friendly atmosphere...horse campers mixed with every other kind. It can't be beat. This is one of the nicest campgrounds I've utilized. I like the fact that one of the loops is set aside for tents-only (which is how I camp), and bath houses are definitely the nicest I've seen for a government-operated campground. I would give this place a five, but three camp sites around us were used by a group of... More

We have been riding the Big South Fork National Forrest for year now. We mostly stay at Bandy Creek Campgrounds in Oneida, TN. The campgrounds are very clean and spacious! The bathhouses are roomy, great water pressure and warm! The only down fall is your horses are about 3/4 of a mile away at the stables. The stables are starting... More

The location is quiet and peaceful, away from any towns. Being away from the lights of town makes the stars look twice as bright as they are from where we live. The camp sites are very spacious and the bath houses are well kept. Do take hand soap if you plan to use the bath house, it's not supplied. They... More

Bandy Creek Campground Loop A was our destination. Site A20 is shady for all late afternoon/evening, sunny between 9-2pm. Site 15A was bright with sun at 7 am for early risers. Other neighbors weren't so bright so early. Note that the left side of the loop A is west and sun sets behind trees to allow for nice cool down... More

This was our first trip to Bandy Creek Campground. We took our horses and stabled them at Bandy Creek Stables. The campground was very nice and clean, and all of the park staff were very friendly. The bathhouses were clean and very unique. The stables were also nice and we loved the trails, even saw a mama bear and cub... More

Have tent camped at Bandy Creek several times. We are hikers and enjoy the proximity to some wonderful hikes in the Big South Fork area. We were impressed by how large and shady the sites are. While tent campers can pitch a tent on any site in the campground, there is a special loop dedicated for tent camping which is... More

Bobby Gene and Gretta York provide first class service at Bandy Creek Stables in the Big South Fork Wilderness Area. The trails are the best maintained trails we've encountered. Sand is added to eliminate slippery conditions after a rain. Some creeks have smooth concrete areas for crossing. The western approach is much easier when hauling a horse trailer. The eastern...
