My husband and I enjoyed our stay at this fancy and classy hotel. The room has an world feel and was very spacious. I love the walk in closet, the marble details and the super comfortable bed!!! A roll away cost only $ 35. It was a bit of a downhill jaunt to Union Square.

I love The Fairmont... so grandiose, so elegant, so historical.... and centrally located. Its on Nob Hill, so you won't walk too far (and if you do, you won't be walking back UP that hill!!!). But the hotel is fabulous! I have stayed in the new Towers, and this trip the older section. I love them both!! Huge rooms, well... More

I am a lover of Fairmont hotels and the San Francisco Fairmont was very nice. A classy establishment with staff that were very welcoming and helpful. There clientele is elegant along with the decor and golden lobby. The Tonga room was a fun place to have pre-dinner drinks. Although pricey it had character and made me feel like I was... More

This old hotel was impressive especially if you like heritage hotels. I loved the view from the top of Nob Hill. I have stayed here a few times now and love its central location, close to all the tourist hot spots with tones of great restaurants. Watch out for the hike up Nob Hill its tougher than it looks but... More

This hotel was extremely disappointing. I grew up in San Francisco and attended formal events here over the years. When my two favorite hotels were fully booked one weekend, we decided to try the Fairmont. Though the room was pre-paid in advance at a rate over $600., the room was not ready at 12:30 (understandable), or at 3:30, nor at... More

Disclaimer: I am not (yet) a baller so on the rare occasion that I drop serious coin on something like this, I am usually concerned about, well, the coin. However, this hotel was so impressive that I didn't sweat the money the whole time I was there (plus I got a great deal, more to come on that later). My... More

We stayed in a suite with a huge living room and very large bedroom, and two bathrooms. we had a minor problem on the first evening - no hot water! The maintenance staff worked very hard late into the night to fix the problem (which they did). The hotel manager made up for the inconvenience by comping us on parking... More

This is where it all started and you should read all about it in the corridors of this historic relic..breakfast was a highlight in the beautifully restored dining room.great selection of hot and cold dishes.concierge was great and recommended some old school Italian restaurants..straight out of the movies..loved the lobby although it probably isn't quite as grand as the fairmont... Thank you for your very kind words about the hotel. As you mentioned we are a historic property (actually the 3rd oldest Fairmont in the company) and have much of that history on display throughout the hotel. I’m pleased to hear you enjoyed breakfast in Laurel Court. It has been our signature restaurant since the hotel opened in 1907. Our... More

Had a great stay, excellent location, you can connect to all parts of the city from here easily. (Get a muni pass, it'll pay for itself). The hotel is beautifully kept, like walking back in time. That being said we heard our neighbors sometimes quite well. The food in all the outlets varied from good to great. If you don't... More

the fairmont's lobby is impressively glitzy! check-in was a breeze and we were given an upgraded room. this hotel is massive, pretty much takes up a whole city block. it's at the top of nob hill and trust me, your legs will get a good workout if you are like me and like to walk everywhere! our room was immaculate...
