Beautiful hotel. Staff was really helpful and were knowledgeable enough to give us local information. Rooms are very clean and with the right touch of retro antiqueness. Great breakfast. My family really enjoyed our vacation in the city and our stay was wonderful.

We stayed here for three nights and I was very aware of the location, the older building and the noise that comes with it. So no problem, I brought ear plugs. No A/C, dangerous stairs, antique elevator, lack of maintenance, price too high, their booklet cautions you to "lock your luggage". No fire sprinklers, marginal area of town, poor breakfast. At $179 this is no bargain. Others nearby are nicer, safer and cheaper.
