Just relocated to San Francisco and stayed in this hotel for a few weeks, and all I can say is that the service from the staff was exceptional, better than any other hotel I stayed in San Francisco. As soon as I checked in the staff was very welcoming and made you feel at home. One desk agent in particular... More

This is supposed to be an America's Best AND Extended Stay. However, there was nothing close to a kitchenette (Extended Stay) and it was a pretty rundown place for America's Best. No doorman and a difficult entry. Teeny elevator, barely enough room for three people, certainly not with luggage. The old hotel name is on the door so it's nearly... More

This hotel is in the heart of San Francisco. The rooms where very clean and tidy. Recently redone. There is only one very small elevator and is quite tight by the time you get your suitcase in there. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. My room was serviced daily. It is a old hotel but has a lot of... More

My wife & I stayed at this hotel for a couple days while attending a conference at Moscone Center. The location couldn't have been better from that standpoint, as the hotel is only a block from the Hilton Union Square, where we could pick up shuttle buses to the conference. Yet the cost was about a quarter what attendees staying... More

I arrived at this hotel and what I saw was depressing. I booked another hotel in less than 30 minutes and left. Yes, it's cheaper than the others for a reason, the lobby has a horrible appearance, the rooms don't have air conditioning (note that San Fran can be hot), neighborhood is depressing too. If you want to enjoy your... More

To: Ragdias, Thank you for taking the time to post a review of your recent experience at our property. Our lobby, while not luxurious, is clean and functional. The building, which we are quite proud of, was built in 1922 and as such is old. We fully remodeled the rooms less than two years ago and fully updated all the... More

As recent as Sept- October 20111- It's true,..... 'one gets what one pays for'- hence reception area was very cringy, stair carpets were dirty, floor in bedroom was not reguarly swept (no hoovers), mice running around, in bedroom - very unhygenic and very noisy from the street, A shame, because the location of the Hotel was ideal. Dodgy people within... More

The Tenderloin... is not just a cut of meat. It is also a neighborhood in San Francisco, yet also a state of mind. It shouldn't be a destination, but it is a destination of sorts- where people end up when they have nothing left but despair and their souls have long departed before the physical flesh. And at the corner... More

To: hejiranyc Thank you for taking the time to write a most thoughtful and articulate review of your stay at our property. You are correct in your observation regarding the street denizens. San Francisco is a big city with big city problems. We do our best to isolate our guests but as I am sure you are aware there is... More

Last week I stayed at this hotel. We were sleeping with my husband and we waked up with 2 rats in the room!!!! Of course, I packed my luggage and left this hotel. At the hotel lobby was a girl crying because she had a rat at her room too. We send and email to the manager Hosu asking for... More

We pulled up to front of hotel prostitute approached our vehicle...witnessed a drug deal right on steps of entrance...and watched a man with an exposed knife walking towards our vehicle...all during 2 minutes in broad afternoon daylight!!!!!! Needless to say we had no choice but to stay elsewhere. Was booked through booking.com (another horrible decision) and alerted them immediately of... More
