The service, the room, the breakfast, the cleanup and the friendliness of the concierges. All this less of 1/2 miles from downtown. And you are treated by your own name, not as a number of a room. Do not even think about going to a big hotel. Here you are in your own home.

We stayed in the Leffingwell Room in late July, 2012. The room was lovely, with a private porch and propane fireplace that made us wish it was Fall. The toiletries were extensive, with thoughtful extra touches. The maps and CD guides to Acadia National Park are very helpful, and one can pick up cold drinks on the way out, or... More

My wife and I were traveling with two other couples and all of us had a fabulous time at the Primrose Inn. We were there for four nights and breakfast each morning was truly a treat. It was our understanding that Melissa had been the new owner of the Inn for just a few months. I must say that she... More

The Primrose Inn is beautiful and in excellent condition. The staff are very friendly, accommodating, and helpful. Our room #10 was spacious and very comfortable. The breakfasts and afternoon teas were absolutely delicious! The location of the Inn is great-a few blocks away from the shops and restaurants in downtown Bar Harbor (we and the evening staff woman at the... More

My husband and I stayed at the Primrose for a week and can't rave about it enough. The room was beautifully furnished and charming with French doors out to a private porch. The breakfast were generous and absolutely delicious and xemplified the care and attention to detail which this owner/hostess demonstrated in every regard. The location, in a quiet neighborhood... The Primrose B&B is a large B&B located in Bar Harbor, an easy walk from the business district and out of the congestion, etc. The B&B is beautifully kept and they seem to go out of there way to be accommodating and helpful. There is an afternoon tea, a lovely sitting room to socialize, loaner GPS's, and a library of... More

We stayed for 3 nights at this B&B. When we checked in the receptionist already gave us a complete picture about the B&B and Bar Harbor. This was an excellent introduction. We stayed in room 15. That was quite big and cosy. We really loved it. The continental breakfast is good an on top you have the choice between two... More

My husband and I spent two nights at the Primrose Inn and would stay there in an instant, again. The owners of this Inn have hired wonderful staff who cater to about any need that you can imagine. Maureen and Melissa were tremendous and the woman "filling in" at breakfast remembered our preferences our second day there. They have a... More
