This property is unique in it location - very close to the beach - the decorations strive to be interesting but need some work and updating, and the rooms are very cute with a comfortable beds (at least ours was) but need some serious TLC. Our room had a spider problem which is to be expected in HI, but you... More

After having an amazing time on the big island at a great vacation rental, my wife and I were excited to head to Maui for a few days. However, our excitement quickly changed after arriving at Far Out Inn. We arrived around 6pm and found the cottage to be much more rustic than what was presented in the description and... More

i have stayed at the Far Out Inn all three times this year when i came to Maui, one stay ending up to be more than a month! i could not imagine a better place for my time there. the location is great, in walking distance to lovely, cool Paia, my favourite town in Maui, with great food and clothes... I stayed there with two friends of mine. I loved every minute of the stay. I don't even know where to begin from.. The view, the relaxed laid-back atmosphere, the owner was always helpful but never too present and left us pretty much on our own. The imaginativeness, the openness, the style, the flow. Loved every minute of it. Loved... More

Staying at the Sugar House is exactly the place for the independant traveller. Self check in, use of the fabulous kitchen/dining area that spreads out onto the lanai overlooking the ocean, it makes you feel as you are really staying in Maui rather than an anonymous hotel room. Bikes, snorkel gear, boogie boards were available for us to use making... More

We found this place via Tripadvisor and heard that Paia is a nice place. So we decided to stay at the Sugar House (main house) in Room 3 and loved it. We read the other reviews and yes, there are cane spiders, sometimes. But what do you expect in the middle of a sugar cane field? That is nature! Take... More

Loved the place. Exactly as the photos show. Would definitely go back. Paia is the best place on Maui, you can hitch to Baldwin Beach where there are no bars - the beach just as nature intended. Brilliant when you are getting up early for yoga each day. Sooo want to head back next year for more chill out time... More

The pictures from the web site were nice and that is why I had booked there. We had the Geisha room. The window was jammed shut and the screen door was broken and would not close so the dog kept coming in our room. It was a very windy nigth and the door kept slamming against the frame. We finally... We just checkout out of this hip little B&B located on the Northshore of Maui. We stayed for a week with a group of friends and had the entire top floor of the main house to ourselves. The decor is unique & has an eco-chic vibe. Our room was comfy, spotless and adorned with hip eclectic charming interior. We loved... More
