We stayed in the Iiwi cottage for two nights. Rather rustic with timber lining in places and basic, but adequate for our needs, Potentially, it could be noisy, with common wall to other cottages which also extended to over the top of Iiwi. The information in the room reminds you to consider others when moving about. Our neighbours were very... More

We stayed in the Iiwi Suite. It's small, but very nice with a zen bathroom. The entire property is well-maintained and beautiful. The property is easy to find and very convenient to the park. We highly recommend this rental for anyone that appreciates interesting architecture and a peaceful setting.

We stayed for 2 nights at these wonderful cottages! The location was beautiful, quiet and so convenient to Volcano National Park. The breakfast was simple but tasty..fresh fruit and banana bread. We would definately return!

Close proximity to Volcano National Park. A great base to explore the National Park during the day and at night. Quiet and relaxing surrounds. Breakfast supplied was yummy and we appreciated the hot chocolates on the chilly nights. Bed was comfortable and warm. We stayed for 2 nights but only got one bar of soap to share between two adults.... More

We stayed here for two nights in March of 2013. We were in Cottage 44. They've clearly tried to anticipate every guest need! Cabin 44 is quirky and comfortable. The bathroom was incredible--beautiful tub, nice shower, and amenities. The porch was wonderful and provided great protection from the elements. The seating area was nice, the fireplace was wonderful, the bedroom... More

Very convenient for Volcano National Park. A simple but functional room with a breakfast of fresh fruit, bread juice and coffee. Extensive grounds to enjoy between walks in the Park. It's closeness , about 5 mins drive, to Volcano National Park allowed for easy access in the evenings.

My husband and I recently stayed in Cottage 44 for a few nights of our honeymoon and had a great time. The cottages are located extremely close to Volcanoes National Park, probably as close as you can get. If you are interested in spending time at the park and are looking for quiet and privacy, this is the place for... More

We stayed in Cottage #44 and had a lovely stay. The cottage had a little sitting area and a separate bedroom. The bed was very comfortable and the electric fire place kept the cottage warm and cozy. They brought us fresh fruit and a homemade sweet bread each morning. We were close to Volcano Village and about a mile from... More

We Stayed in the Dillingham. It is a well equipped, two room suite with private bath. It is not as private as it seems since the walls are very thin so we heard our neighbors getting dressed and chatting. There is NO heat. Only a tiny little ice tray that wasn't even half full. Was told that was all there... More

My partner and I stayed here for 2 nights in mid-January 2013. It was a last-minute reservation, and only the Dillingham Suite in the back of the main house was available. We might have preferred one of the cottages for better quiet and privacy, but this suite was perfectly comfortable except for a bit of noise from the occupants of... More
