We didn't see the hostel, but the campsite does not resemble their website at all. The kitchen is disgusting, shower outside with no privacy and the toilet is a health hazard. Don't pay money to stay here- the state parks must be a better bet than this.

pahoa hostel although mostly outdoors, is a great place to be. i have been here 4 months and lived at the farm the whole time. were so close to the beach and get to ride the boards as much as we would like.

I don't know how this place was when Mark Caudill was there but now it is a real deal and nice. It is close to the beach and the hotpond of Ahalanui.
