This was our first experience at a bed and breakfast. I would recommend it to anyone. By far, I think it is the best place to stay in the area. Was in town for the Hatfield McCoy marathon and once we visited the area I can easily say this is the nicest B&B in Matewan. Rooms were very clean, and Sharon was extremely accommodating for us runners (served an early pre-race breakfast and allowed later check-outs). Just loved the Historic Matewan Bed & Breakfast and Sharon! Everyone was so nice and made you feel at home, even the guest:) The rooms were clean, location was great and the breakfast was awesome. I would highly recommend staying there if you are in the Matewan area. I am definitely going back!
