My friend and I stayed for a long "girls weekend". We were the only guests for at least 2 nights. Upon arrival, we checked in and discovered that there were about 4 squares of TP on the roll, and no extra TP anywhere. Went to the office to get some, and the person working acted shocked and put out, as... More

A hodge podge of small older houses comprise this 'camp', which also has RV spaces, a laundry area, and more. Poorly maintained property. The best term is "Exurban slum". The owners are older and living on past glories received in the local press. The old fellow is hard of hearing and rude, the old woman is pleasant. Each room (cabin)... More

We stayed one night in a two bedroom cabin. Great price for the space and full kitchen. Everything seemed clean, could have done without the 'decorating', but overall good experience. Don't run over the bunnies while you're driving around!

Almost all of the folks who staff this place are very, very nice people. The multi-faceted operation offers cabins, RV parking, and a few "B&B" rooms above the office. Also, there is a small restaurant on site with a limited menu of mostly breakfast fare, baked goods, and sandwiches. The history of the place and the women who founded and... More

We stayed in a "country cabin" for one night recently. Other than a few mouse droppings in the corners, it was more or less clean and had the basic amenities allowing us to cook up a nice dinner. The furniture and wood work are well worn and in need of upgrading. They claim that the cabins have 1950's charm. We... More

We stayed here recently in one of the country cabins. The photos on the website were far more flattering than the reality. Others have said that the cabins were grimy, and ours definitely was. I don't care how little you're paying - cleanliness shouldn't require a high price. There were grimy fingerprints on all the kitchen cupboards, dirt in the... More

The local KOA had a 3 night minimum, so we opted for Clark's. It is certainly past its prime. Pluses - friendly host, some rabbits, a cozy restaurant, quiet location (but not on the river like numerous other RV parks in the area). But bathroom has one shower, one toilet and if showers worked they required quarters. Simple fixes like... More

I don't mind the fact that the cabin we stayed in was unclean and shabby...we asked for a place where we could stay with our dog, and we got it. Didn't expect four star facilities. But when the battery on the smoke alarm started beeping at 4 AM, there was no help. None in fact between then and when we... More

This is fact, not an opinion. In the Brookhaven "lodge" (part of this facility), four of us stayed in the Brookhaven #1, in a bedroom with two beds. Only one of us had a full hot shower. For the second person, the hot water ran out halfway through his shower, so the other two in our party had to skip... More

Themed cabins are heated and equipped like a studio apartment. The bedding is a little scary. I highly recommend you bring your own sheets and blankets. The kids lived all of the free roaming bunnies as well as the old fashion playground. The restaraunt stays busy and food was pretty good. They have tent and RV sites available too.
