This was our third stay at Williamsburg Lodge. The previous two times we stayed in side buildings that were quite nice. This time we had a promotional deal that enabled us to get a suite. Mistake! We were right above the bar, which played loud music on Saturday night. The sound insulation is quite poor, which is a surprise considering...

Upon entering the room I immediately noticed that the sheets and towels were disheveled (I was worried they hadn’t been washed, but they appeared to be clean upon inspection). One of the lamps was broken, the safe was locked so I couldn’t use it, and the air in the room was extremely dry (so dry that I ran the shower...

My family and I stayed in the newer part of the Lodge. I thought it was great-- very clean and really comfortable-- nice decor. I'm mostly just picky about the clean part. We chose the lodge for it's location-- walking distance to Duke of Gloucester Street. From what I could tell it was the most reasonable hotel within walking distance...

My wife and I had another nice visit to Williamsburg. We were looking forward to the Christmas decorations and were not disappointed. We chose to buy the "Holiday Stories" package which included passes for entrance, a guided tour of the decorations, hearty breakfasts and a $100 credit to be used at any of the various Colonial Williamsburg business. We used...

We are Williamsburg locals and have gone here many times over the years. We used to think this place was something special...well, as our taste and budgets have changed...it is just okay. We know the bartender, Julia, who has has been there for YEARS. Sat a table with no atmoshere, no music...NO NOTHING. Waitress service was quick and we ordered....

I stayed here on the "Holiday Stories" package, which included breakfast, a gift card and our tickets to the historic area. Our rooms were a little far the main lodge, considering that my grandmother is very elderly, but otherwise this was a nice hotel. The beds were not the most comfortable, but they weren't table. Our room had a fridge...

First, my caveat, my review is based on reviewing them against themselves. This is not a five star hotel, but it did maximize it's offerings and gave us a perfect experience.
So, for the review. The hotel is made up of several buildings with a central lobby area. We arrived an hour early for checkout. We were on a Snique...

Stopped in the week before Christmas, have never stayed in the lodge before and have been to Willamsburg several times in the past and stayed at traditional hotel chains. First impressions were outstanding. It is right across the street and within easy walk and or bus hop to everything around historic Williamsburg. We arrived early and was checking in to...

We went there just before Christmas 2011. The hotel was bustling with activity. Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were nice, clean and amazingly quiet. Breakfast buffet was good.
The location is just across the street from the main area of Colonial Williamsburg. A free bus and its stop is in front of the hotel.
