We were visiting at JMU in nearby Harrisonburg and were only able to stay at this lovely inn for one night, but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Since we were running late and wanted to visit the lavender farm down the road, Dana kindly called to ask them to stay open for us. It was a special treat to have... More

Dana and Dennis were wonderful hosts to my husband and I last weekend! We thoroughly enjoyed their hospitality, beautiful guest room, great conversations and the available coffee, tea, etc. The locally-made lavender bathroom amenities were delightful. The fabulous breakfast on Sunday morning was the perfect way to start our day! It could not have been any better!! Thank you for... More

We stayed 2 nights at the Cross House Garden Inn and at first sight its a beautifully restored Victoria. The lodging rooms and living room were nicely furnished and the inn keepers seemed friendly. We reserved the first floor room because of the fire place, but were disappointed to find it required service and hence was not useable. No huge... More

The Cross House Inn is a beautiful house with big clean and spacious rooms. Dana & Dennis are great hosts who offer over-the-top breakfasts made with fresh local ingredients, baked cookies in the evening, and spot-on information for local events. They made us feel at home and helped out with great local recommendations - lavender farm, winery, Grand Caverns and... More

We had a wonderful time at the Cross House Inn. It reminded us of a plantation Inn that we stayed at in Louisiana. The rooms are all beautiful. No detail was missed. Wonderful lavender soaps, shampoo, conditioner and bath gel...........ironed sheets, chocolates, snacks, an out of this world breakfast. A Keurig coffee maker which was really appreciated by this coffee... More

Friendly, relaxed, gracious hospitality. Dana, Dennis, and their exuberant lovable dog Brin, made us feel welcome and pampered over Veterans Day weekend in their charming victorian home away from home. They truly went "above and beyond" to make it a special weekend for us and their other guests. Looking forward to visiting them again and seeing more of the central... More

Dana, Dennis (and Brin) were so welcoming and gracious. They have created such a comfortable home to stay in and provided us with delicious and substantial breakfasts for our days of wine tasting. The grounds and the decor were so lovely. We would recommend this inn to family and friends.

We stayed at the lovely Cross House Garden Inn while visiting our son at JMU. It was so much nicer to stay at this bed and breakfast than one of the overpriced hotels in Harrisonburg during family weekend. Dana and Dennis are warm and wonderful hosts. The house is beautiful, the homemade breakfasts delicious, and our room and bed were... More

My daughter and I had the opportunity to take a last minute get away trip and were unable to find a last minute flight so we decided to venture forth closer to home.
