Given the good price and the excellent location, we were also happy to find that the rooms were clean and modern. This is not a very personal place but if you just need it to sleep and have a good shower, this is much recommended.

Cute hostel but too much noise from the bars. On Saturday chumba-chumba til 6am so sleep impossible, despite earplugs. Rooms clean, shower great but a bit hot and stuffy. Excellent location.

We really liked Hostalet - it doesn't pretend to be a full service hotel but it is an excellent hostal, although the word hostal doesn't seem fair for it either as it feels more like a boutique hotel. much better value than the 'old' hostals in town like cristina. for the same price you get a brand new, air-conditoned room, and your own sparkling clean bathroom, not to mention free internet. rooms are small, but the little french balconies are a nice touch. as for the noise, we didn't find it too bad as it's up a little... My experience was very good staying here in June this year. I didn't have the noise problem the previous reviewer mentioned, possibly because it was still a relatively quiet time of the summer.
