Nice but childrens entertainment a bit dated . It was same every night and a bit tiresome. Hotel is lovely but again needs redecorating. The buffet was not always great but we usually found something to eat that we enjoyed.

Overall we had a lovely holiday, there’s plenty for kids to do, outdoor pool, splash park, kids club sessions, step up and dance with the Tui reps and the indoor pool was open with it being October. My daughter took part in all of these as well as an extra kids club Halloween party for 10 euros where she decorated a tshirt, did a ghost hunt, had her face painted and got a bag of sweets - she really enjoyed this and it was great value for money. The rooms are fine and perfect for what we needed. The beds are quite hard as has been mentioned before but the hotel is having a refurb this winter so there’s potential this might change. The staff are in the majority very friendly and welcoming, one or two we felt were a bit abrupt (mainly at the pool bar) and this seemed to be the case with everyone we saw being served not just us so maybe they were tired from a long season. Table service at night was quite hit and miss. Restaurant staff were fantastic, cleared plates away quickly and had a friendly good attitude. One thing we struggled with was ever getting a second drink at dinner (as the drinks at lunch and dinner were table served) as the staff were very busy. The food on the whole was great. Breakfast was our favourite as lots of choices. Lunch sometimes was hit and miss. We found the food in the restaurant better than the snack bars. The chef Sebastian was always very friendly to my daughter and she loved his pancakes and chicken. The only thing about the food was the snacks were a bit limited and I would have liked to have seen cocktails which weren’t frozen (only 3 cocktails on AI which come from the slush machine). Cakes at 4pm were very popular! Entertainment consisted of children’s mini disco at 8pm and then red v blue team which we found fun and my daughter loved. From about 9.15pm was the adult entertainment. In a week we had 4 outside shows, and 3 by the reps. 2 of these were quiz shows which fell a bit flat, we preferred the shows with music where the mood was better. The reps were all lovely, Matias in particular had a lot of energy and the kids loved him. Cala Bona is fantastic area to explore and we walked down to Cala Millor a couple of times which is a fab easy flat walk. The beach at Cala Millor was lovely and only 14euros for 2 sunbeds and a parasol. Overall we would return again and it will be interesting to see the changes with the new refurb.

A lovely, well-laid out hotel which is perfect for young children. The whole place was very clean and the staff throughout were extremely friendly and helpful, particularly with the children. It was close to the end of the season when we visited, so was quite quiet and the weather was only ok. It was warm, but very windy at times and got quite chilly at night. Rooms - perfect size and layout for a family with lots of storage. Having a fridge and kettle was so useful for having milk/snacks for my daughter, even though we were all inclusive. (Big refurb is coming, but pictures on the display indicated the kitchens were staying.) Food - at breakfast, lunch and dinner food was extremely plentiful and snack lunches could be ordered from the splash pool bar. Nothing ever ran out and everything was hot. Most of it was delicious with a few exceptions, but plenty to choose from. Drinks came quickly and empty plates were whisked away immediately. In terms of all inclusive, the availability of food outside of meal times was very limited compared to other places we've been, which was a little bit of a shame. The a la carte restaurant - which you get one reservation at per week on all inclusive - was lovely. Drinks - very generous measures. Again, compared to other all inclusives the choice was a little limited, but most people would find something they liked. Facilities - the two outdoor pools were very cold, but that didn't put people off. The main pool had a busy area for the older kids (with a bouncy dome thing) and quieter area. The splash pool was great for youngsters with lots of slides. When we went, the indoor pool was a much more enticing offer for most people given the temperature and it had some very shallow areas that kids could safely play in. The indoor pool area could do with a few more chairs/places to leave belongings as the floor gets very wet (obviously). My daughter absolutely loved the soft play area and the playground. Most of the game machines (air hockey, pool) were broken. Entertainment - the entertainment team tried really hard at both daytime and evening entertainment, but it was clearly getting harder as there were fewer and fewer people left and some of the activities fell a little flat. I imagine it's a very different experience in the height of summer. Again, they were great with the kids and encouraged everyone to join in. My daughter wouldn't go to kids club, so can't comment on what it was like but I know it ran for 2 sessions each day with 2/3 evening events while we were there. Location - Cala Bona is very small, but has a nice harbour and very small (shingle) beach. The Bip supermarket was good for stocking up on essentials. Cala Millor and Porto Cristo are much bigger. The nearest bus stop is about 5minutes from the hotel and goes to both places. Overall - this is a very good hotel with practical rooms and the right facilities, made excellent by the very hard-working staff. We would definitely go back, particularly as it would be interesting to see the changes that come with the refurb.

Hotel has a fairly traditional and small check in area. We arrived at the same time as another coach so some waiting experienced. It is around 1hr 10 min transfer as we were the last stop. There is no nearby beach (good for us as not beach lovers) but a nice flat walk along the sea front with usual shops and restaurants. Rooms are a good size and bathrooms fairly modern (there are plans for a big refurbishment of the rooms in the closed season). Pool area good with plenty of loungers and a football pitch for kids to play in. Indoor pool looked a little chaotic as full of young ones jumping in. Gym equipment works (just) but is in a poor state with the treadmill stopping twice mid run for one guest!! Food is very good with show cooking area always offering something freshly cooked and different. Some food is not restocked as the sitting gets later. Themes on some days which is nice (Greek, Indian, etc). Entertainment was not great with a show every couple of days and the hotel crew hosting quizzes on other days. The hotel crew work extremely hard but the hotel need to look at their entertainment programme. Varied drinks available on all inclusive with cocktails pre made (seems to be the way now with AI). Getting a bottle of the gluten free beer (which was very nice from the one bottle I had) proved difficult and I was told different things from it is alcohol free through to “we have run out” (only to see someone drinking a bottle the next day and still being told there was none left). There is Estrella and Magners on tap.

Just spent 7 nights here as a couple. Can't fault this hotel in any way. All staff friendly & helpfull. Cleanliness is above & beyond. Hand sanitiser everywhere. (might help if more people used it). Paper cups at poolbar before 6pm, safer beside pool in my opinion. Glasses at bar after pool closes. Nice beer & spirits. Sunbeds fairly busy but plenty room on grass behind block 3 & 4. Another pool bar there beside kids pool open 12- 4 . Hot food made to order. Pirate ship & slides for kids in pool. Restaurant always clean. Plenty of options for food, even for the fussy ones. Freezer at poolbars with iced lollies, help yourself. Lots of steps here but also ramp access everywhere for pushchairs. 5 min walk from very nice harbour with pubs & restaurants. Overall a lovely time had by us both. Would def return.

Returned home yesterday from a weeks holiday here at the Bonaire. We have previously visited in 2016, 2017, 2018 & 2019 so we knew what to expect. Our kids are older now (almost 14 & 10) and although we thought we’d have outgrown the hotel (which is mainly geared towards younger families) they wanted to come back once more so we booked thinking it would be our last farewell… We got such a warm welcome from staff who we have seen previously (Claire & Oscar on the bar and Miguel & Sebastian in the restaurant all are especially lovely and deserve a special mention). Food is plentiful, always something to eat for fussy eaters and a good variety in the restaurant. Despite being all inclusive we ate out twice locally (Smithys at the harbour does a fantastic fillet steak) and we also ventured out on the glass bottom boat to Porto Cristo and to the Caves of Drach one day which was good to see (booked at kiosk on the harbour) Hired electric stand on scooters from Cala Bona Bike Hire for an hour and we went along the promenade to Cala Millor and Sa Coma and back which we’d also recommend. Having been 4 times before, the one thing that always really made the holiday was the entertainment reps - if you’ve been before the likes of Abbie bows, Alice, Ashleigh, Edward, Tanisha, Frank then you’ve been spoiled. It was definitely lacking this year in comparison - felt like it was a very half hearted attempt…often only 1 rep doing it alone and the party round the pool was literally one song (kou kou move 💪🏼) Lots of people also found it hard to make out the quiz questions with their accents too which can’t really be helped. They didn’t make much attempt to engage with the holiday makers and it was a little lack lustre - not a huge downfall and I’ve still given it 5 stars overall but if you’ve been pre-covid and expecting the same then lower your expectations. Having said that, I appreciate it’s towards the end of the season and they put in long hours but it just wasn’t the same as all our previous visits and our daughter missed this. We didn’t use the kids club this year so can’t comment on that. Other families here are all considerate and friendly towards others, plenty sun beds regardless of when you come for one. Evening shows were for the little ones to start with (with adult show starting at 9:15 and finished by 10:30). Outside acts were good that we saw (magic show, singer etc) and worth watching. Sandancers pub is just along the road at the BIP supermarket and child friendly so we spent an evening in there too with another family we made friends with from the hotel (such a nice welcome from Tracey & Faz) We stayed in block 4 at the back which is quiet and has lovely views over the splash park/ indoor pool/football pitch. We have fallen in love with the hotel and the local area…Both of the kids (and us parents) said we would all definitely come back again another time - so it seems our last farewell it is not! ❤️

Returned yesterday from this hotel. Very dated ( I know they are going through a refurb soon) We stayed in block 2 Bed mattress hard and uncomfortable, we asked for toppers which made little difference.Stained bedsheets and the lamp shade in the kitchen area had something all over it, food or drink, couldn’t tell! The food was very underwhelming, we ate once or twice in the restaurant, that was enough. The entertainment was good on a few nights. Staff mostly friendly. The harbour is beautiful and only a short walk where there are amazing restaurants, We spent all our time there. Hotel very good if you have a young family but not for teens. We wouldn’t stay again.

Fantastic holiday. Hotel is lovely and clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. We were self-catering and bought breakfast and lunch from the BIP supermarket and ate out for dinner at all the fantastic restaurants which are just 10 mins away. Would definitely recommend. We were not overly keen on the evening entertainment. No problem getting sun beds and great that you don’t have to get up early to reserve them. There were always plenty free throughout the day. We would recommend staying at this hotel.
