Unfortunately i couldn't get a room for the night we required and stayed elsewhere but we did book in for an evening meal. The staff were very welcoming and accomodating, service unobtrusive, the food excellent, and not too pricey. Exposed stone walls, wood panelling and open fires gave the atmosphere of the whole hotel a relaxed and inviting place to... More

This is a very charming hotel: stone walls with a turret and plenty of trees in the garden. Inside it retains the character of an old building with wood panelling and a winding staircase. The rooms I saw (in the main building) are beautifully fitted with some character furniture but modern beds and facilities, including free wifi. Our room was... More

This hotel has charm and the staff was friendly and helpful. It's in a good location within easy walking distance of the old town and cathedral. We took a standard room and it was ok but a little tired. Could not get wifi reception even down in the lobby sitting area.

Booked a superior room , Had to get the covers on the spare pillows changed as they were dirty . Bathroom clean but very old, toilet & some tiles cracked. Drew the curtains & they fell of the wall. The restaurant was good & the breakfast not exciting. The town of Senlis is a gem, pity about the hotel

Used this as a stopover ahead of a wedding in Northern Paris area. Nice room with ancient beams showing. Good breakfast. The town is interesting, historic and peaceful. Hotel could be used as a base for Paris if you are driving as you can tool down the A1 then be at the hotel in 10minutes. Public transport may be an... More

We stayed at the Hostellerie earlier this week, having chosen Senlis because of its excellent access to the autoroute to Charles de Gaulle Airport. Our experience of the Hostellerie was mixed, and ultimately, a disappointing one. We stayed in room no 6 – a standard room – which was small, faced on to Rue Bellon, and had no air conditioning... Dear customer. We pay a great attention to your post. We are very sorry for your bad experience at our restaurant.Like you have said, the weekend you were here at Senlis, temperatures were very high. We do not dispose of air conditioning, our thick (1 meter) walls usually keep the interiors cool, and we are very sorry for that. At... More

Overall a good hotel, I will be back and have indeed made reservations for a return trip. The hotel is perhaps an upgrade of a traditional French hotel to more of a boutique style, albeit one or two areas are still slightly lacking. Let's mention the weak areas first then move on to the strengths. The weakest point for me... More

I usually avoid restaurants in an hotel but this one is definitely worth a try. We had the Menu Affaires which was very decently priced and well balanced in quantities. The restaurant is nice though and not too noisy probably thanks to the rock wall. Service was OK and properly paced as we did not feel rushed. Overall a nice... More

We stayed here for two nights based on the recommendation of a friend. If you're flying from Paris CDG Airport, Senlis and this hotel is a super place to stay. There's a bus directly to the town (25 minutes from the airport) which lets you off across the square from this hotel. The town is a lovely old medieval town... More

We stayed at Porte Bellon for 2 nights in mid July. We stayed in a 3 bedroom suite. It was very roomy and the room sizes were very big. The beds were comfortable and it was central to Senlis. We ate at the restaurant both night simply because there aren't a lot of other places to eat in town. Although... More
