This place is very popular, I'd advise to book ahead. We booked for 5 nights but arrived hot and sweaty in chang a day early! When we got to the sunflower it was fully booked so we had to spend a night in a absolute hell hole around the corner (the antenna) we couldn't wait to get out of there... More

Am staying in Koh Chang for 6 nights but luckily only booked this place for 2 and will look for somewhere better today. Having rang to book in advance I was given the option of a twin bed room with hot shower or a double bed room with cold shower. I chose the latter. When I arrived I was given... More

We thought we would splurge on an AirCon concrete bungalow- totally not worth the money. Definitely stay in the wooden/fan bungalows if you can! They look nicer and a better place to relax. We had a serious ant issue in our room and the overall cleanliness of the "new" bungalow was poor. The sunflower is in a great location and... More

To be fair, I wanna start by mentioning that they have a variety of different kinds of bungalows, and the wooden type I stayed in was probably the worst type... I would think (and hope) that some of the other types that are newer probably are better than the one I stayed in. My bungalow was pretty crappy, and I... More

I have stayed at the sunflower on two occasions over the space of two years. The resort has different standards of accomodation. On my first visit i stayed in the cheaper wooden bunglelows, which had two single beds, fan, mozzy net, bathroom with cold shower but after paying no more than £5 per night is everything you need. The second... More

Sunflower huts get the full thumbs up from me! The first couple of weeks - out of a 6 week trip - were spent in koh Chang and most of that time I stayed at sunflower. My boyfriend ended up in hospital on the mainland and for the first time ever I was alone and without money (our travellers cheques... More

Stayed in the sunflower for 2 nights, prior to arrival we had booked to stay in an aircon bungalow pretty cheap but on arrival i saw some wooden bungalows with a hammock although these were only fan rooms and cold water were really nice so after speaking to staff they were more than happy to let us swap and as... The Sunflower is located in Lonely Beach, a 3-mn walk from the main road on the path to the beach. Prices are cheap for Koh Chang but you get what you pay for : extremely basic rooms, questionably clean linen, and most of all, a dodgy bathroom. The tap was broken and the water from the shower wouldn't flow away,... More

Out of the plenty resorts at Lonely Beach, the Sunflower had a bungalow available on the day of my arrival, so I made my choice to stay there. Still, it took me only one night before switching to a better resort (Seaflower - don't be confused!) which had a vacancy the day after. I wouldn't say the Sunflower is a... More

We stayed at The Sunflower in a beautiful, clean, and inexpensive bungalow that was only a few minutes walk from a great beach (Lonely Beach, which turned out to be my favorite on Koh Chang). I don't know if it was standard in all of their bungalows or not, but ours also had hot water and air conditioning. The staff... More
