I had the most peaceful and wonderful time at the Rainforest House in Rishikesh. My wife, daughter and I stayed at a 5 star at Mussorie and were sick of it wanted a quite place where we can be with ourselves and nature. Using trip advisor reviews and the rain forest website, we decided Rainforest House would be the right... More

Steve Dunjey is the most wonderful owner of this fabulous staying place. Most soothing ambience. Courteous & friendly staff. Veg Food out of this world. Located in serene & quiet bank of the majestic Ganga, this guest house gives you peace. A bonus is the Neer Garh waterfall which runs through the property. Most accesible moss free stones provides you... More

I stayed with my wife and daughter for 2 days from 13th to 15th April 2013. The place is really wonderful, interriors are ethinically decorated giving a lttle bit rustic feeling. Simplicity adorned with great refreshing natural environment. The entire area of Rainforest House including rooms and bathroom are very clean and everything has been given a personal touch. The... Visited with my mother and wife for 2 nights in 2009. The excellent location, the cliff rock on the ganges, the rippling stream through the property all adds to the charm of this place. There is a nice trek that can be done to the ganges banks to relax there among the rocks or to jump off the cliff rock.... More

After New Delhi’s ‘city intensity’, the slow, quiet pace, clean air and natural surroundings of Rainforest House was a refreshing respite. Steve and his wife, Trupte, have built a unique environment for their guests and describe what they offer, and do not offer, in detail on their website. Some might think the out-of-town location, the walks up and down from... More

Wooow, Woow, Woow Rainforest house you are perfect. A room by a narrow rapid stream gushing down the mountain, it’s sound mesmerizing almost gripping. A bench across the stream under the canopy of trees, a log kept besides to lean on. A short walk across big and small rocks to reach the divine ganga. A personal river beach. A dining... More

I came, I extended my stay, I loved it! Perfect tranquility, though within walking distance of Lakshman Jula. A fantastic place to stop the spinning world, relax, meditate, do yoga, listen to the waterfall and be treated with fantastic low-key hospitality and service

This property will not appeal to everyone's taste - like no TV in the room etc . Hence advisable to review their website properly (they are very honest about it) This is a very homely place to stay in - they have kept it nice, quiet, simple with no fuss. Food is simple home-made stuff. The sound of the gorge... More

I really loved Rainforest House! I stayed there for 6 days in October. It went way beyond my expectations. Steve & his wife Trupte have created something special here. It cleverly combines the "finish" of a stylish contemporary building with a sensitivity to the surrounding natural environment, so that they blend beautifully. I felt protected without being shut in.The rooms... More
