I have stayed at this hotel many times while traveling to Richmond for both business and pleasure. Each time I stay there, I find the staff to be very friendly and seem to always go above and beyond what you see in other hotels. I also find the hotel to be clean and the accomodations meet my expectations every time.

This particular Hilton Garden Inn was a nice place to stay while on business travel. It was easy to find, and convenient to shops and restaurants. Traveling alone, I felt relatively safe at this location. The hotel had many other business travelers.

Met with happy friendly staff. Room was clean and ready. TV was a little confusing to get used to stations that are available were OK, would be good to have sleep timer to shut off if you fall asleep. The restaurant was not open for lunch but the breakfast was very good with great service.

The hotel has rooms that face a courtyard shared by restaurants and bars. At night rooms that face the courtyard can hear live music that goes on till after 10:00pm followed by loud talking with drunken patrons. If you are a light sleeper this will keep you awake.

Overall it was a very good stay. They have one of the lowest government appreciation rates. However, the rate does not include breakfast like many of the other HGIs. The housekeeper was very thorough. My room was always clean before 2 pm.
