“Everyone below the Manager was great”

Very nice hotel but could be updated a bit. bathroom had a water bubble over the tub. door didnt close properly but they did move us. the Mgr Mr. Steven McClauslin, was completely rude! Breakfast was great, bar and dining room was excellent; restaurant was excellent with reasonable prices. Staff supported our Military function superbly.

“Once you find it, great place to stay!”

Terrible signage, and nearly impossible to see from Rt. 29 (Seminole Trail). But it's a very nice hotel. Beware: the welcome cookies can be deadly to your diet! Rooms are comfortable and quiet. Parking lot is large, but well-lit. Very genteel clientele. Coffee to go in the lobby.

“Beautiful and convenient”

The DoubleTree in Charlottesville is minutes from both the historical downtown area and to UVA, including the UVA medical facilities. The grounds are well-tended and beautiful. Check-in was efficient and fast, and that chocolate chip cookie is to die for. The room is nice, not unusually large, but certainly adequate. The staff is the hotel's strongest asset.
