My father spent a week in the hospital at UVA and the staff at the hotel were wonderful to my family as we stayed in the hotel. The location is perfect and the free shuttle service was really nice. Usual good service of Hampton Inns; helpful staff, good location near the hospital, the university and the downtown mall. Gorgeous lobby, very comfortable to wait for others; separate and comfortable computer/business center off the lobby. I stayed three nights at the University Hampton Inn in Charlottesville, VA. It was a good stay. I slept well. Staff and service were excellent. Price was appropriate. And the hotel is within walking distance of at least 50 good restaurants, the Hospital, and within driving distance of UVA, Monticello, and wineries. More

We were upgraded to a free suite after traveling all day and being sent to our room only to find it was still untouched by housekeeping. At least they are very customer friendly. It is good for its class of hotel and fairly priced for a popular city. More
