Well worth the drive-this was the only state park we vistited and we loved it-wish we had our van with 4 wheel drive for the dirt roads thou, the parts we could get to were great! And the price was good too, after spending $$ at the Federal parks this was a great find.

Kodachrome Basin provides yet another unique geological formation--67 rock "pipes" unlike any others on earth. We stayed 2 nights at the campground and did some hiking at Willis Creek (very cool!) and around the park. It was really hot in the daytime (105 degrees) so we didn't get out on the longer trails but Shakespeare Arch and Chimney Rock were nice.
