We were driving to California and needed to find a place in west Texas to stay the night. I usually stay at a Hilton, always if at all possible. I found this hotel to be quiet, clean, and overall, an excellent place to spend the night.

clean, free cookies, and nice staff. I stopped here on the way from Tucson to San Antonio. A bit dark in the parking lot but very safe. Tip: Don't eat the Mexican food down the street. I was paralyzed on the toilet the next day and lost half a day because of montezumas revenge.

I expect some things now to be standard. There are no microwaves in this hotel. However since it is located in Van Horn, Texas I suppose some lee way should be afforded. The staff were extremely friendly, the hotel was very clean. I checked in late due to my drive. I was given the best treatment, and she quickly made the room reservation. The city hotels should send their staff here to train from these people, their service went above and beyond!!

Definitely the hotel to stop at if you're traveling from west to east. Van Horn is an extremely small town and the Hampton Inn is the only hotel that is pet friendly.
