Family (three generations) spring break trips are a tradition with us. Stayed closer to home this year and had a great stay at Roddy Tree Ranch. Grandsons and son spent most of their free time at the basketball court. Son and one grandson took advantage of the canoes and enjoyed floating on the river. Very quiet and peaceful. The horseshoe... This place is awesome! both the ranch and the house. We stayed at "La Ponderosa" and it is so spacious, it has 2 living rooms with a tv each, the 3 bedrooms are also really big as well and the house is so clean and well maintained! It has a corner with toys for the kids, they LOVED IT. We... More

This was our 5th year to come together as a big family and rent a cabin we all stayed in on our Spring Break week! We have had a fabulous time EVERY year we have come! It's peaceful and fun all in one. We love the pools, the playgrounds, the basketball court and juke box and absolutely love spending time... More

The cabin was so cute and very peaceful. We had a great view and everything was provided down to the eating utensils. It was just what we needed from the hustle and bustle. We will definitely return, only minutes from Fredricksburg. We only came from San Antonio but we felt we were hundreds of miles away from everything! Great for... More

My family stayed 3 nights at Roddy Tree over spring break and had a wonderful time. There was plenty to do on-site. We canoed, fished, played at the playground and volleyball court (kids used it as a sandbox), petted the horses, caught frogs in the river, and watched deer each morning and evening. We also enjoyed the live music at... More

My husband and I planned a trip to Fredericksburg and Kerrville the weekend of October 19th. I found this ranch online and phoned to book a cabin. I requested the Willow which was very well decorated and exceptionally clean. I phoned to explain we would be arriving late on friday night and a key was left for us in a... More

Thank you for your review. I was unaware that we had a problem with that mattress. It will be replaced promptly. As for no one in the office, we run a Mom & Pop business, in the off season we are in and out of the office depending on other demands. My office phone is forwarded to my cell and... More

Our family had a wonderful time at Roddy Tree Ranch! Our kids caught their first (and second, and third...) fish in the pond, fed the horses and ponies apples, went canoeing up and down the river, spied deer and a huge heron, fed the ducks, saw more stars than they've ever seen in their lives, and, in general, had a... I've going to the Roddy Tree Ranch with my family for years. The location is peaceful and beautiful. There's plenty to do -- two pools, the river, canoes, music at the Canteen, basketball, movies galore. ALL the beds are comfortable. The cabins are rustic, but the owners -- who make every guest feel like family -- have paid close attention... More

My wife and I needed somewhere to stay for four days in March (2012) that was close to La Hacienda Treatment Center in Hunt. Based on these reviews, we called Roddy Tree Ranch. We were treated like old friends from the first call. Assigned to Cori's Pier, we arrived on a Tuesday evening around 6 p.m. We quickly found our... More
