Room smelled wet. Toilet paper holder wouldn't stay in wall. Toilet overflowed. Old box style tv. Decor looks like it hasn't been updated since 1990. The continental bf ends at 9 am so don't think you are going to sleep in. The staff DID respond promptly to the overflowing toilet. We paid $154.00 for this room....definitely wouldn't do it again. The Days Inn Galveston may not be a beachfront property, but there are views of the bayou and it is easily accessible from the 2 main streets on the island. We stayed here for 3 nights..July 9-12th and really enjoyed it we had no complaints what so ever!! Room was very clean, shower was too we even got to use a crib for our 16 month old which definately helped out alot. Pool was great wasn't always packed like other hotels.
