Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Let's start with no coffee maker. Office has coffee but doors locked until 7am. No housekeeping because I stayed multiple days? Flat stained pillows. Don't walk barefoot in the room because the bottom of your feet will be dirty. Pool empty and pool area locked so no place to sit outdoors. Dirty overall. Not worth the money.

This was my 2nd stay. The first was decent so I booked another room a few months later. Never again. The bathroom was dirty especially the tub and sink. The bed was poorly made with dirty sheets and ancient yellowing misshapen pillows. The best part? Waking up to roaches....one on the floor and one crawling on the bathroom wall. I felt sick at my stomach thinking of where they and others were while I was asleep. I was so disturbed I would not even shower there. I paid for this????!!!??? I absolutely will never be back and will not be recommending to anybody. They should have discounted or refunded. Buyers, there are comparable places in terms of pricing in Savannah. Seek them out.

The room was outdated. The pillows were terrible, bathroom door busted up. Overall feeling of dirty. Weird guy stays on property and makes it uncomfortable. Poorly furnished. There was one towel in bathroom. Looks as if people live here.

We probably avoided a lot of hassle –ended up canceling our entire reservation, days prior to our stay due to poor service. I originally made my reservation online. As always before a trip, I called them directly to confirm our reservation to be sure everything was all set. For 3 days I called and the same lady answered the phone –assuming it was the cleaning lady because she was unable to confirm our reservation, and just kept repeating “You call back in the AM, when manager is here.” and “You call back in the PM when the manager is here”. So, after 3 attempts, I called back again and the manager finally answered. Not impressed! I tried 3 times with my cell (mind you, I had FULL cell reception), and 2 times with a landline. Every time he would answer and just keep repeating: “Savannah Lodge… Hello… Hello? Savannah Lodge… Hello… Hello?” Then he hung up. I even had my husband call from a totally different location, and the same thing happened. Whether or not this was a technology issue on their end, unacceptable for any hotel; simply trying to confirm our reservation before we drive 15 hours to get there. I canceled online and booked our stay elsewhere. They were quick to accommodate and much better customer service (even close in $rates!) Very poor service, Savannah Lodge, what a joke!

The popularity of AirBnB has really put the clamps on the room rates for small hotels - so you could say that we're in the golden age of the $60 room. Even with high occupancy $60 per night does not generate the income a hotel needs to upgrade or add new amenities like USB ports in the rooms. Even basic maintenance suffers a little, and this hotel is a case in point. The sleeping experience was fine - wi-fi solid - location good. It's just that it feels a little tired and some of the amenities feel improvisational. Is it better than sleeping in your car? Yes it is. Is it filled with surprise and delight? No - it's about what you'd expect for the price.

Found about a week before that I would be able to go down to the Pickwick area for the Labor Day weekend. I work for a major hospitality company and when there were none of my companies brands in the area I was a little disappointed. I really shouldn't have been. I made the reservation through a third party booking site for 2 nights. The check in was a smooth process even if it did require me filling out a form. The gentleman was extremely nice. I could tell it was a family business. The room was clean and comfortable. You always hear terrible things about the beds but mine was comfortable. The bathroom was dated but clean.. I can deal with dated and older as long as its CLEAN. The pool was sparkling and clean. My daughter and I spent those 2 days exploring around the area and going back to the hotel and cooling off in the pool. The only complaint that I could even think to lodge would be that the in room refrigerator froze our foods and drinks. Other than that there were absolutely no problems and will use the Savannah Lodge the next time I will be in the area. I have high expectations because of where I work and this small family run hotel managed to make the grade.

Got room & went in to sleep after 10 hrs travel & day of house hunting. Got woke up by barking dog that would not shut up. Called manager, he called dog owners, said they'd left dog there day before to go to dinner & dog barked then, too. They left dog again to go to reunion for hours & would not answer his calls. We demanded a refund & left. Manager was nice & refunded. I feel they should have been the ones to leave not us, but we had to since their dog just kept barking. This is why many hotels will not allow dogs. Our dogs are well-behaved & we do NOT leave them in the hotel when we go somewhere. We had intended to stay at least 2 days. I recommend Deerfield Inn In Adamsville, nice people, quiet hotel, no barking dogs.

This is a small motel. The couple we spoke to are very nice and accommodating with our needs for several rooms for the people we had coming to work at the local mill. I do think there is one room on the back that is occupied with permanent residence living there. Our room was on the front. Clean and comfortable. The shower we had a problem with, hoping they will fix that today. Think the rooms on the front having been remodeled some but not the back ones. Some of our people didn’t like their beds. Old mattresses.
