We arrived with the wind howling and the rain pouring down after a long drive through snow, sleet, ice and rain, and yet more rain! That's Wales for you -:) So we were delighted by the warm welcome, and a comfortable bed. The bathroom is modern clean and the breakfast freshly cooked and plentiful. It ticks all the boxes and... Everything about this wonderful place, from first contact to our last day, was in a league of its' own. I have stayed at many B+B's and there are not many that come close to this one in terms of all round quality. Our short break was made all the more memorable by the attention to small details; those that others... More

Whether our guests are bird watching, walking, visiting friends & or simply spending a short break in the area, we hope that Plas Mawr provides a home from home whilst you are away. PS: Spring is... Our most recent visit was just as excellent as previous ones. They say that it's the people who make the diference, and Plas Mawr is the perfect example of this. That, combined with comfort and excellent food, make this our favourite B & B

Lovely people, great food, nice rooms, great location, very considerate of our needs (young children). We had our first family holiday here with a baby and a toddler. It was a very nice experience, I would happily recommend.

It was lovely to meet you and your family, We are very happy that we were able to make your first trip away with your young family a memorable one. Hopfully you will be able to come back in the Summer as I'm sure the boys will enjoy making sandcastle and paddling in the sea. Tina More

Booking via telephone - very friendly and helpful. On arrival, a warm welcome. As we were the first to arrive that evening, we were given a choice of rooms. We chose the double room at the front - very spacious with a comfortable bed. Good insulation - did not hear any noise from the road outside. Very nice to have... More

Stayed for one just night as a break from a rainy camping trip. The room was lovely, and had one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in. Breakfast was delicious. However, it's the small thoughtful touches which make this B&B stand out, especially having proper milk for your your tea or coffee. Cosy and welcoming without being fussy.... More

Travelling with my sister and her autistic 10 year old daughter. We found Plas Mawr warm, comfortable and homely. We all shared the family room with en suite bathroom. Very accommodating of the 10 year old. The breakfast was wonderful and Tina prepared pacl lunches for us too - ordered the day before. We went specifically to visit the RSPB... More

I stayed just one night whilst my puppy was having surgery at a nearby vets. The room was lovely and clean, and the whole guesthouse felt very homely. Tina took my bag from me on arrival, which was a surprise (having stayed at a previous B&B where the chap watched me struggle with two bags and a puppy!) My mobile... More

Our party of 6 had all three rooms in this very quaint B&B. Tina was most welcoming on our arrival, it was great to be able to park literally on the doorstep. The rooms were cosy, bigger than expected when looking at the house from the outside. The atmosphere and friendliness was exactly what we were looking for when visiting... More

We have returned from our second three night stay at Plas Mawr. Once again everything was perfect. If you are going to visit the reserve at Ynys Hir we recommend that you have one of Tina's excellent packed lunches. Once again thank you very much Tina and we will see you next year.
