A highly recommended stay when on the Offa's Dyke walk, or just for leisure. Great welcome and facilities and a breakfast to suit every international taste. The internal design of the property is to Dana's unique taste! I won't say more for fear of spoiling the lovely surprise when you arrive.

I can’t praise Dana and Neville of The Fleece House too highly. We arrived soaked and tired half-way though our Offa’s Dyke walk, and were looked after superbly. The rooms, and our hosts, are idiosyncratic, eccentric and welcoming – everything a good b&b should be. We couldn’t have asked for a more comfortable or more interesting place to stay.

I can only agree with everything that has been said prior! Stopped here whilst doing offas dyke, the hospitality was brilliant, the room was brilliant and what a breakfast! I have never been offered such a selection and breakfast, especially the selection of teas. Dana well done!

Agree with all that has been said before. We were walking Offa's Dyke and this was the start of Part 2 ( we had done the southern half last autumn and our last night was with Dana and this is, in our view, the obvious place to stay in Knighton.) Dana is a legend. If you have time ask her... More

DANA ROCKS!! Its been said before but I cant speak too highly of my welcome at The Fleece House. Dana met us and immediately looked after our wet boots, plenty of newspaper here. An excellent room with a bathroom across the hall. We even had a BATH!! Fantastic. What i remember most about Fleece House is the breakfast. An enormous... More

You can't speak too highly of the hospitality at The Fleece House. It's way beyond what you have any right to expect. We arrived there to start the Northern section of the Offa's Dyke Walk and Nigel had kindly parked his car in a spot just opposite their house so that we could take it over and then they would be... My wife and I stayed in the Fleece House twice while walking Offa's Dyke and Glyndwr's Way and we had an absolutely ideal stay there. The room was comfortable and cozy, with bathrooms stocked with a bevy of soaps and lotions; the breakfast was outstanding, with home-made jams and lots of healthy toppings for yogurt (seeds! hurrah!); and Mrs. Simmons... We stayed with Dana and Nigel before starting Glyndwr's Walk and were greeted and treated like long lost friends. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the breakfast second to none for setting you up for a long walk. We would happily return ... perhaps when we walk Offa's Dyke.

We started our 7 days walking holiday around Glyndwr's Way here and despite staying just the one night with our family we have to say that nothing was to much trouble for Dana and Nigel. The rooms were very comfortable, clean and well decorated. The breakfast was a real treat and tasty beyond belief. The tomato's had a wonderful added... More

We stayed here with my parents the night before starting Glyndwr's way and it was a lovely place to stay. The rooms were great, really comfortable!!! Dana and Nigel were great hosts and had a really personal touch, such as giving us umbrellas to keep the rain off as we walked into town for our evening meal. The breakfast was... More
