this place is shocking - should be closed down, they need to be inspected by the local authority. Whole place stank of smoke - even the bed linen - VILE. I was so glad I did not have my little dog with me, the resident dog looked like it would eat a small dog for breakfast. Go somewhere else, dont... More

I would recommend sleeping in your car instead of checking in here. The whole place reeks of cigarette smoke being overly disguised by cheap choking air fresheners. The bed sheets were smoke sodden, I had to open the window to breath and then the constant barking by the inn's huge dog was enough to make me just leave.

So I'm working in Wales and we decide to stay at the Welcome traveller inn. It's a very dated place, very cold, creaky floor boards and took ages to get warm, not hot, but warm water for a shower. Had food in the bar/restaurant area, ordered fish and chips twice, pint of cider and a lager shandy, £24, very expensive,... More

Stayed here for 1 night on business. The room was clean & adequate but the beds were very lumpy - my colleagues had the same problem in their rooms. They reported getting up in the middle of the night to try out the other twin beds in desperation, but them being just as bad. It was like sleeping on a... More

Nice people - great chips but the smell of cigarette smoke pervades the whole place - not sure how this is possilbe but it is true all the same. Could do with less air freshener too! Dog lovers, but we felt a little intimidated by the resident hound. Not keen to see they have connections with the local hunt either... More

Stayed here for one night. Got very little sleep as the walls were very thin, so there was a lot of noise, and room stank heavily of smoke (mixed with air freshener) all night. I think we were next-door to the couple who ran the place who smoke. In fairness, they were accomodating in allowing us to check in late,... More

We booked the hotel as it was close to a wedding we were going to the next day. It advertised itself as "dog friendly" but shortly after we arrived the pubs Rotweiler that hadn't been secured attacked our dog. The female owner saw the incident & seemed to brush it off as her husband later commented "I see you met... More
