Stopped for lunch, good honest food soup and sandwich nice pub friendly staff well priced. Would recommend soup was fresh tomato & red pepper very tasty. We arrived early for lunch was going to have tea and cake but was worth waiting fro lunch. Will be calling in again soon.

Popped in for some lunch before visiting James Pringle Weavers (which is opposite the pub) and very glad that we did. Although it was a Sunday, we just had a snack. The food was home made and all freshly prepared. I had the soup of the day followed by a sandwich. The Sunday lunches coming out of the kitchen looked... More

Our car had broken down in the middle of the night, and after a few stressful hours trying to get home somehow, and failing, we were booked in to The Penrhos Arms by the breakdown-cover company. Got towed to the hotel at 1am in the morning and the staff was very welcoming and understanding. When asked when check out was,... More

Stayed here on our way to ferryport, nothing really to complain about. Busy downstairs restaurant stopped at nine so no real noise in room but could do with more insulation, weekends must be noisier. Breakfast pretty good but finishes too early (08.30).

Although the lady in charge for the weekend was very ameniable and the room was a good size there was alot of noise from the bar I could hear actual conversations going on downstairs and we had 2 small children that needed to sleep. Having said that the noise did stop by 12pm so I guess if you're not wanting... More

Karen and Simon were wonderful - and the food was marvelous. It is a beautiful, quaint, and lovely place to have a bite, a drink, and enjoy the small town atmosphere - everyone is part of the family!
