We stayed at the Monachty on the bank holiday weekend with the classic car club were in. They put us all a meal on one evening and the food was good at a sensible price, Very nice staff served quickley. Good central location . All rooms clean but could do with a refurb. But you get what you pay for... More

We plumped up on a Friday afternoon in the village looking for a family room for 2 adults and 2 children. £85 inc breakfast in the Easter hols. Which we thought was good value. The room was good in the main bedroom there was a king size bed and one single. There was another small single room and a bathroom... More

This is a basic public house owned hotel in a small welsh seaside town. Considering its owned by a large Welsh Brewery its in a poor state and requires some serious upgrading in modernisation and facilities. Despite repeated complaints about the water system the showers for example, fail to work properly giving intermittent hot and stone cold water. On the... More

We visited this establishment as a family of six (five adults & one child). On arrival we were immediately informed that there were staff shortages - on Easter Bank Holiday weekend. Whilst making allowances for this we didn't expect to wait over thirty minutes for a starter that, when served was of a poor quality with no presentation - not... More

We spent a very comfortable couple of nights here. The room was basic, but we expected this, as it's a budget hotel. However, it was spotlessly clean and the linen was crisp and white. The breakfasts were lovely and not at all greasy.

Experienced dismal food here, wine glasses were sent back TWICE as each time had lispstick on the times, landlord spoke appallingly to staff and was no more polite to us, a miserable visit and one I wont be repeating.

What can I say! Beware the photos on a web site for a Hotel. They do not have to put a date on them but about time they were made to do this. The Monachty in Aberaeron ,Wales is a place that sure needs updating A.S.A.P. and web site information too. On entry to the Hotel did not look too... More

Eaten at this location on a number of occasions in past few years. On each visit my family and or friends along with myself have always enjoyed the fare provided. Nice location to get reasonably priced pub grub whilst visiting Aberaeron. Will return.

Visited for 2 nights in October. Location is excellent, overlooking the harbour with a small free car park next door but with other car parking within easy walking distance. Staff are friendly and welcoming and the pub itself is pleasant enough for a drink with the locals. The room was big enough, whilst there is limited wardrobe and drawer space... More
