This really does justify the expression "idyllic". Arisaig House is a beautiful building set in extensive grounds. You can walk through the gardens and on down to the cove in the distance. Sarah's welcome is friendly and helpful, and it is a joy to share her lovely home. Our bedroom was large and tastefully furnished with a big, well appointed... More

We have just spent the most magical evening staying at Arisaig House. Despite short notice of our booking, Sarah made us feel most welcome from the second we stepped inside the palatial hall of their lovely home. The atmosphere is immediately relaxed but there is no compromise on standards, and our rooms were spacious and beautifully appointed, with wonderful views... More

Arisaig House is a proper country house in the true sense of the word, excellently run and managed by Sarah Winnington-Ingram and her daughter and staff. This was to be a too short overnight stay for myself and a hill-walking friend. However, it did feel like a two day holiday as we left on the late afternoon train the day... More

I cannot enthuse enough about Arisaig and the wonderful owners. Sarah and Kitty looked after us wonderfully - the food was fantastic all weekend, and we ate local scallops and mussels brought up to the house by the fisherman which was such a treat. You sleep in total luxury with the most incredible views to wake up to; we spent... More

My husband and I, with other family members, stayed at the Achnahanat Cottage run by Arisaig House over this New Years period. The other members of our party arrived before us and were shown in. The person that actually manages the properties was away and they were shown in to the cottage by the actual owner, Emma. We arrived sometime... More

Stayed recently and simply adored Arisaig House. Friendly and informal in ways that make you want to return again and again. Lovely staff and owners that are there to look after you but in a pleasant and unassuming way. Familiar with the place since its Relais & Chateau days, and it has improved since then in many incalculable ways. Great... More

... is how we felt as we departed from Arisaig House after a fabulous 4 night stay at the beginning of October. I can only add more praise to the existing reviews for the way we were looked after by Sarah, Kitty and her team. We are planning to return in May next year for the watercolour paining course. Ignore... More

Me, my friend and my dod (lurcher) had the most marvellous time. Absolutely loved Arisaig House. Sarah, her family and staff made us feel so welcome. Folk who like corporate hotels who dislike dogs may be unlikely to appreciate the homely comfort. However we loved the excellent friendly service and really loved the exceptional food. Strangely loved the limited menu... More

My daughter and I stayed at Arisaig House recently and were truly delighted with the wonderful welcome we received in this magical place. We genuinely felt welcomed into the family - so rare in commercial establishments. The ambiance and decor of the house is fabulous, the rooms are luxurious and the gardens and setting are truly spectacular. Sarah is a... More

I read your last review and so was apprehensive about my forthcoming stay at Arisaig. I was plesantly surprised. The moment I arrived I was made to feel at home by the manager Sarah and her daughter Kitty. The house has a wonderful bohemian feel about it, shabby chic at it's best - comfy sofas, roaring fires, delicious food all... More
