Stayed in Uig Hotel Sunday 11/5/13. Room 10 is very well appointed, spotlessly clean, warm and has a fabulous view, did not eat in the evening as we had eaten on the boat from Lochmaddy but the breakfast the following morning was one of the best hotel breakfasts we have ever had, quite shocked to read some of the negative... A group of 6 of us dined here and all were delighted with the high standard of the food. Fresh scallops were on as "starters" but the chef was more than happy to prepare these as a "mains". The service was extremely friendly and efficient - well done Danielle!

Stayed here last minute due to ferry being cancelled. Lovely warm welcome. We had room 4 which was immaculate. The evening meal was superb and all cooked from fresh local ingredients. Breakfast was also very good. Highly recommend and would stay again without hesitation.

I stayed here for a couple of nights whilst on an island hopping adventure with the dog. Being dog friendly was the reason I booked, but I thought it was included in the room rate (good value, by the way), only to find I had to pay extra on arrival - not much... but still, an extra charge could have... We only visited the Uig Hotel for a meal whilst saying in area for a few days. The initial impression was that they might not be serving food as they were very quiet, with only 2 customers in the bar. But the member of staff who served us said that food was available although the menu was limited due to... More

It looks like a lovely old house, and it is, with a funky attached wing with rooms. Walking up the outside stairs of the wing to the second floor was our first concern, watching an elderly couple get reprimanded for parking in a no parking zone our second and then walking down the hall to our room with a funky... Just back from having an excellent meal at the Uig Hotel. The owner is friendly and chatty, the waitress was attentive but the chef was absolutely fantastic. We will certainly be dining there again and will keep recommending it to others. Best eatery in the area for sure.

The owners of the hotel were lovely very chatty and welcoming the boy on reception however was abut of a let down for the hotel as that was our first impression which gave us a not very welcoming vibe. However when we went down to dinner our waitress was fantastic, generally concerned a to weather we where enjoying our food... More
