I stayed here for 2 nights at the start of May with my friend from Australia, and we were both very impressed by the hotel. The hotel is spotless, and service is more personal than any other hotel I have stayed in. Rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the home made biscuit was a nice touch, and very tasty. We... More

This was our first visit to Killoran House, in the company of friends. The hospitality and service provided by Janette and Ian more than made up for the dismal weather. Janette couldn't have been more helpful with information and tips (including several phone calls before we arrived) about visits around and about, and Ian produced some really wonderful dining experiences... We have just returned from another lovely stay at Killoran House. As usual, Killoran is spotlessly clean with excellent food, generous portions, beautifully presented. The rooms are comfortable and well appointed. There is a light, spacious lounge and balcony on the first floor which overlooks the pretty village of Dervaig. The dining room on the ground floor has a panoramic view... More

This is a very nice boutique hotel in a beautiful country setting outside a small village with an elevated view of the valley and sea loch on the Isle of Mull. Service by the on-site owners is very warm and responsive to guests needs. There is a very comfortable guest sitting/reading area with an outside deck with excellent views of... More

We stayed for 3 nights in an upstairs double room. We'd asked for a view over the valley & we got one. The detail of their rooms is on their website as are the charges. It's not cheap but you do get personal service. It was spotlessly clean - I thought it was brand new even though it's not. The... More

We have recently stayed at this hotel, and we have to say we were rather disappointed with it. Recommended by the Good Hotel Guide and with 4 Bed and Breakfast Star Status we had expected better. The property was built about 5 years ago and presents as a large house, and it is located on a hill just outside Dervaig... More

We dined here on the last night of our week-long stay on Mull and I have to say we both thoroughly enjoyed it. We didn't stay overnight, so I can't comment about that. I thought a previous user's comment of somewhat pretentious was a bit harsh (in our opinion), as we found the owners very friendly. It was very quiet... More

The guest house is in a nice location, but far too expensive for the service received . The room had nice views but was rather small with a disappointingly small bed. although it was spotlessly clean. Excellent dining room and breakfast was good but frugal. The evening meal food was good but a little more vegetables would have been welcome... More

The service was pleasantly personal and thoughtful. We had a very comfortable ground floor bedroom with a good size ensuite with large shower with all amenities. The hotel was very clean and very comfortably and beautifully furnished. It had an excellent dining room downstairs and a most comfortable lounge upstairs overlooking a small hill where one could watch wild deer... More

The hotel and breakfast couldn't be faulted. Residents' lounge on first floor give wonderful views over the surrounding countryside, large room, spotlessly clean but ... ... as we planned to be busy during the day, we felt that pre-booking dinner in the hotel would save a lot of hassle - which it did. Most of our 5 evenings, we were... More
