I highly recommend Glengorm Castle as a "getaway" spot. The drive to the castle along a single track road is itself a wonderful experience but once you turn a particular corner & view the castle in the distance it takes your breath away, have your camera ready! My best stay ever.... (and I travel a lot). Everything was perfect: room, atmosphere, food, landscapes, owner. I think I will never find again a place as this. I must come back, this will be "my" place in the world. I will be back asap.

This castle is just like in a fairytale. You really feel kind of set back in time in some respects and still it is very alive. The views from the rooms, the sunset which you can follow from the library, the sunset, the bedrooms and the breathtaking location. THe scenery is magnificent. It is easy to go for walks there.... We are a family of 5 and booked a week in Lephin cottage. The surroundings and the walks are beautiful the cafe is excellent and Tobermory is near. We broke two wine glasses - no problem / no charge!
