Just spent three nights in this B and B and this was ,by far, the most comfortable we have ever stayed in whilst traveling about Scotland. The rooms are absolutely immaculate and cosy, the atmosphere is very relaxed and the site of the house looks over Shieldaig bay. Ann was away during our stay and we were looked after by Thomas... More

My husband Malcolm and I stayed here for four nights from 9 to 12 July 2012 inclusive. We both found Ann to be very welcoming and her home is beautiful. The room was spotless as was the bathroom. The rooms are very modern and tastefully decorated. Breakfast in the dining room was a delight and we always looked forward to... More

The reason for staying here is the village of Shieldaig and the surrounding area. This is wonderful village-- just what you think a Scottish village should look like. The Aurora is a very nice B&B. The room we had (Applecross) was of medium size with a queen bed and a single bed. There was a shower, but not a bath... More

Over a period of many years we have stayed in a large number of B&Bs throughout Scotland, and the Aurora is our now at the top of our list! The hosts are very friendly and welcoming, the house is particularly comfortable and spotlessly clean, and of course situated in Scotland's most scenic grandeur. The panoramic view from the guest lounge... More

We spent a wonderful three nights here. Shieldaig itself is a lovely village in beautiful scenery, and the B&B itself couldn't really have been better. The place was comfortable (and completely spotless!), the breakfast was great, and Ann & Thomas were welcoming and incredibly helpful -- not just a mine of useful information and tips, but we were particularly impressed... Anne and Raymond have made this purpose built building into a home away from home for their guests. We had a triple room as we had our adult daughter with us. The room was spacious and we got a reprieve from living out of our suitcases by using the open shelving and hanging rails for our clothes. The shared living... More

We stayed at Aurora for three nights at the beginning of our west coast trip. Firstly, Sheildaig is a beautiful place! Thomas and Ann are lovely although T can br a tad overbearing, explaining how door handles and windows work etc. However, all in good faith and clearly means well. The b&b itself is fantastic. Massive room and huge comfy bed. Even a lovely large lounge area which would have been great if the weatger... More
