We stayed in Achiltibuie after watching the film The Eagle (pretty good, I'd recommend it) and I'd recognised the Summer Isles. The peninsula is pretty barren so you probbaly wouldn't want to come here for the nightlife, but it's an utterly fantastic place if you want to stop, btreath and do absolutely nothing (although swimming, walking, diving and kayaking are... back here for the third time because its such a lovely place to stay. Mige and Pete are friendly and welcoming. The view from the bedroom was a stunning as ever and the breakfast still 'top notch'. We look forward to our next visit. More

No 192 B&B is a lovely house with warm and welcoming hosts. The views from the bedroom was stunning (and that was in the rain so I suspect it'd be magnificent on a sunny day!). Feels very much like staying at a friends house. More

We really enjoyed our stay with Pete and Midge. Relaxed stay, good beds and good breakfasts, stunnings surroundings, great walks, mouth-watering meals in the pub at Altandhu and in the Summer Isles Hotel in Achiltibuie. And do'nt forget to take a trip on Ian's boat around the Summer Isles. It's well worth the money! Hope to be back! More

I can only agree with all the previous positive comments. This is beautiful spot and worth the extra drive from Ullapool for the stunning view, peaceful environment and very warm welcome. For dinner just go down the road to The Furan Bar in Altandhu where you will find the most delicious seafood and local produce. If only all B&B's were... More

Midge and Pete they are the best that could happen to you if you travel through Scotland! They make you feel like being a part of the family and it is always wonderful to stay there. Definitely the best view in Scotland from: the kitchen window, the bed room window, the toilet window, the garden and so on.... If you... More

We have been to stay with Midge and Peter a few times now, and their B&B is without doubt one of the best. Lovely rooms, spotless facilities and a great breakfast. It's always a pleasure to stay. More

We are a gay couple and found the welcome here very friendly. The hiosts were very welcoming and provided much usefull iinformation about the local area (including all the local gossip!). This was our second stay and it was just as good as the first. The views are spectacular and the breakfast excellent. More

Stopped last week and had my aith in small b+b's totally restored. Nothing was too much trouble for the owners who were sociable, informative and genuinely wanted to help. Highlight of the stay was eating a lovely breakfast overlooking the Summer Isles - Fantastic! Would unhesitatingly recommend. More

You're instantly at home at 192 - Midge and Peter couldn't have been more welcoming, and they give you a real insight into what life in a small isolated community is all about. That was even more important than the spacious and comfortable room and the really stunning view from bedroom and bathroom - oh, and the breakfast was pretty... More
