The owners could make much ore of the house than they do. They appear to be B&B tired and seem to just go through the motions which is a shame as the house is quite unique in that it is part of an up and running bank. The room was adequate but the breakfast very poor. Our cooked meal looked... More

Hopefully things have changed for the better at Bank House. Andy and I took over on the 4th October 2011; we are in the process of making some changes to the rooms and services provided. We hope that people will like the improvements which will include home baking and a larger choice at breakfast. More

Stayed here during a recent hill-climbing trip and it was ideal. Reasonably priced given location, lots of parking on street outside and Mike was very helpful and interested in our Munro bagging plans - having climbed them all himself! The B&B is in a beautiful Victorian building - shared with the bank downstairs - which gives it a lot of... More

I have stayed here once before and booked again as was happy with the previous visit. Stayed here for 1 night as part of my Great Glen Way trek, After a 15 mile walk that day I was pleased at the prospect of a hot bath. Unfortunately the water was only tepid as the owner said that the heating had... More

We stayed there for two nights and was not impressed from the start. Took us ages to get someone to come to the door. We had to go next door to the bank so they could make a phone call for the owner to come to the door and he said we must not have rung the door bell or... More

The bank house was just what we were looking for, it was reasonably priced and in a great location looking out onto the caledonian canal. The owner, Mike was very informative and gave us some great ideas of what to see and do in the local area. The town is small but there are numerous bars and restaurants and these... More

The Bank House was a great place to stay in Fort Augustus. It is centrally located in a quiet neighborhood above the canal. The room had enough beds for our family of 4. Our room had a slight view of Loch Ness. We were quite comfortable. The breakfast was great. Mike was fun to talk to. He shared knowledge of... More

I've just returned from a trip to Loch Ness with my wife and 3 year old daughter. The weather was fantastic and we thoroughly enjoyed it. I MUST say that our stay at Bank House really helped make our trip. The room was very comfortable and warm. The host's hospitality and help was very much appreciated and we really felt... More
