The proprietors (Julie and Clive) were helpful to begin with but that did not last. They were upset with a smell in our chalet. The solution was simple (I opened a window) but they lost their temper - threats of surcharges, character assassinations and poisonous insults. I was calm and polite, so no excuses there. We rented a 3 bed room chalet for 3 nights. The site seems to be a work in progress with many of the chalets undergoing renovation at the moment. Ours had not yet been refurbished , and though it was adequate and reasonably clean, it was very shabby . Having said that I was told at the time of booking that... More

We stayed in the Fort Augustus Chalet Park with a group of family and friends. Julie and Clive were helpful and welcoming. The chalets are clean and comfortable and have everything you need for self catering. Ideal if you children and pets. Good location with the centre of the village is just five minute walk away. Word of warning "Take... More

superb location and accommodation. despite initial fears and reports about meter costs , we found no foundation in these whatsoever. our hosts, julie and clive were attentive at all times and we enjoyed our visit and will definitely go back. will reccomend to all! More

Only stayed the 1 night here. To be fair, it did serve its purpose but i would not have enjoyed a longer stay. The lodge was tired and despite some recent decorations, it was a long way off other lodges i have recently visited. The lodge i stayed in had 3 rooms. 1double and 2 twins. we only used the... More

A large group of us were walking the Great Glen Way as a charity fundraiser and after a long 22 mile walk that day, 5 of us turned up to the chalet, to be told that the 3-bedroom & 2-bedroom chalets that we had pre-booked for over 5 months and paid before in advance, were not available. Instead they could... More

Fort August is not far from Inverness, although a long drive from Midlands. Quite nice, calm and a romantic place with beautiful views and good for trekking. Went for our honeymoon. Divorced, then went again last year with my current girl. Good food and drink places. More

We stayed for 1 week at the end of May in the new Skye chalet which is semi detached to the Mull chalet. Although rather small, it was fine for the 2 of us to self cater and cook our evening meals spending about £7 on electricity for the whole weeks stay. Although the chalet was brand new, the combined... More

Have just returned from Fort Augustus Chalet Park where we spent a five night break over Easter. Six of us shared a 3 bedroom chalet. The chalets are quite old and although not much to look at from the outside, set in a beautiful, tranquil location. There were swings outside and much to the delight of the children, four horses...
