The morning we woke up, the entire house was very cold. A log on the fire would have changed a lot. Poor price point as well.

We found our one night here extremely comfortable. Very welcoming and an excellent breakfast. Beautiful setting but tricky to find!!! Very luxurious and clean room. Would certainly visit again!

We absolutely had to write something here about this fabulous place. The warmest reception we have ever received, wonderful home cooked hearty meals and immaculately kept rooms.
Despite a wee accident of our own making for which our very gracious hosts, Trudy and Kevin, forgave us.. we had such a lovely time there. The room was very clean and freshly...

I was greeted by a very warm and friendly family, the room catered to all my needs and was very comfortable.
During my stay I had the evening meal, which I found, as well as the breakfast, very well cooked and presented. I found the price, for the accomodation and aminities quite reasonable for what was offered.
The surrounding area was...

My first trip to the Loch Ness area and i would say that it is a perfect base for exploring the area. The view from the room was stunning in itself. I found Auchterawe Country House very comfortable and relaxing after being out all day walking and sight seeing. The "Hodson" family made us feel very welcome and were most...

It was the worst experience I had in a country house ever. My family and I travelled across the Scotland and the hospitality we received was worse than you could think of. I wish I could have read the reviews first and did not make the reservation.
Firsty we arrived at the house around 22.00 which we did not realise...

This is a fantastic house in the most outstanding setting. It's location is a couple of miles out of the village, which is great close enough if you want to pop down to the pub, but far enough away to get lots of peace and quite, which was what we were looking for. The rooms were on the large side,...

This is a house in the country and in my opinion NOT a country house. Not run by Scottish people. The prices are way too high; for what was paying did NOT expect chipped crockery; Pressure in shower / water in tap can drops to a trickle, something that can be resolved; Table cover not changed all week despite paper...

At first glance this place had everything going for it. Good location, off the beaten track, pleasant hosts and a good base for touring the highlands. Then you see the pool table in the guest lounge. Later you realise the bed is like a concrete slab and that there is precious little pressure in the shower when you want it....

Beautiful location, made very welcome, shame about the quality of the room, towels, chipped crockery, not to mention the cheap breakfast and a fried egg that looked good but appeared to have been microwaved as the yolk was solid. To top it all we had a heard of elephants, at least thats what it sounded like, in the bedroom above...
