We stayed for 2 nights and 3 days. We were greeted very warmly. The room was large and the bed comfortable. The view from the window to the hills outside was very nice. The food was a varied small list. The meals with a bottle of wine were terrific and we stopped by the bar for conversation after the meal.... More

We live nearby and have been meaning to call in for years but have never heard great reviews. But I must say a friendlier, down to earth place I have never been too. What it lacked in experience it made up for in enthusiasm. its only two downfalls were the freaky lifesize statues and sadly the food. The castle had... More

We bought a 2 night stay with Living social in this small intimate castle which has only 9 rooms. It is a hidden gem made all the more charming by the wonderful welcome with got from Mary at the reception area who was also the Manager and there to tend to every need one might have. She had a wonderful... More

This is a fantastic find. The restaurant was small but cosy, with a fire roaring in the middle of the room. A fantastic welcome in from the cold outside. The walls are hung with tapestries, coat of arms and even a suit of armour stands at the entrance. In saying all this, the room also has a very modern decor... More

A real castle with extensive manicured lawns and superb views over the countryside. Breathtaking!!!!!! Warm, friendly, welcoming staff, overall great service. Delicious food with good menu selection at a fair price. Marque looks like nothing from the outside & takes away from the look of the hotel, but fabulous inside, like a fairytale!! Will be back!!!!
